Excellent vacation rental for large families!

5 of 5
We booked this property for a short vacation during labor day. There were 8 of us from 3 separate families and I think each and every one of us was blow away by the house! The pictures do not do the interior of the home justice. Each bedroom is spacious, with beautiful wood dressers and comfortable large beds (queen sized for most, king in the master). You get wonderful views of the mountains in each of the rooms as well, though we barely spent any time in the rooms. Considering each room is equipped with a rather large flat screen TV, it's amazing that everyone loved the outdoor spaces so much they didn't even want to watch anything. We are a family of TV lovers and I think the TV was on maybe 15 minutes the entire weekend. There is a nice dining and living room, as well as a very spacious and functional kitchen. While there are not groceries or spices, the kitchen has all the pots/pans/utensils you could want. The outdoor space made the house spectacular! There is a large porch in the front with rocking chairs that was lovely in the morning and evening. The back has a large stone patio with ample seating and a BBQ. The hot tub was fantastic, once we figured out how it worked! We spent 90% of our time lounging outside, talking and just enjoying the breeze. The view is very beautiful, though there are some power lines and some cars that pass by. The indoor game room is a real treat! We spent our evenings there, playing pool and ping pong. As others have mentioned, there is an air hockey table but it has weak-ish air flow. As for the entertainment around the town, there is a river adventure tour within 5 minutes of the house that we used to go tubing. Within 20 minutes are also several wineries. Shenandoah Park is about 40 minutes away. All-in-all, this was a wonderful vacation property. We got to spend time as a family without being on top of each other. I highly recommend this property.

Reunion

5 of 5
We enjoyed our stay at the manor house. My family with our two sons (3 and 5) met my mother, her partner, and my grandmother aged 93. We enjoyed the property. We fished in the pond (catching and cooking a fish) and visited the horses. We explored Luray Caverns, Montpelier, and wineries. My mother brought her golden doodle and I bought our toy poodle mix. They enjoyed the property, as well as playing with a dog from the cottage rental. We were concerned about the high number of King Charles spaniels in the hot barn which we understood were owned by a lady who rented the barn. She was not friendly whenever we were walking past the dog barn to the horse barn or if we tried to have a conversation with her. There were maintenance issues with the house, but they were corrected in a timely manner. There was a small leak from master bathroom down dining room wall, but Mrs. Brown was aware of it. Mrs. Brown was very helpful in general.

Gorgeous house, breath-taking countryside, and very gracious hosts!

5 of 5
We booked all four suites at Zion Springs for a group of people participating in an adventure race in Maryland. We were amazed at the gorgeous house with beautifully decorated rooms. The property is breathtaking - nothing like drinking a hot cup of coffee in the morning on the deck, overlooking the countryside in complete serenity. The food was fabulous and the accommodations were everything we could have asked for - and more! The Tigges family was fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable weekend. Conveniently located near the battlefields, several wineries and the WO&D Trail, we will absolutely be returning. this is hand's down our favorite B&B. If you are looking for the B&B experience, look no further - we offer our highest recommendations for your stay at Zion Springs!
