                GREAT WINTER WEEKEND

                4 of 5
My two brothers, their families, and my Dad rented all three houses at the Wolf Trap Farm for a January weekend to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday and had a great time. There were 13 of us -- so, we needed all three houses. This is not a luxury house but a working farm that was well maintained and welcoming. The setting on top of a hill overlooking a valley -- even in the dead of winter -- is idyllic. The Manor House is the nicest of the three houses -- very cozy. We spent our group time there. The sitting rooms were too small hold everyone, but they made for very nice reading / game playing rooms. The dining room sat everyone comfortably, and the kitchen was large and well appointed. We used 3 of the 4 bedrooms in the manor house -- 2 of which have a private bathroom. The kids enjoyed the 4-bed bunk room. The hot tub, fire pit, and rope swing (conveniently adjacent) were also big hits and heavily used (tons of firewood). The servants quarters and pond house were also nice and could be self sufficient. The servants quarters are right next to the manor house, but the pond house is about 100 yards away -- flash lights are needed for an evening trek! There's a partially completed game room with fuse-ball, pool, and ping pong half way to the pond house that could be a real asset if it's completed (and heated!). We absolutely loved the horses, dogs, and one potbelly pig(!) -- the staff that cared for them were real nice and accommodating to our kids. The owner also has a very detailed guide to area that was very helpful. We had one problem with the water during our trip, but the owner and staff very responsive and really worked hard to get everything working.

                WONDERFUL COUNTRY RETREAT

                5 of 5
We just returned from a great stay at this farmhouse, which was very clean and well-maintained. It was easy to feel at home, as the owner has paid great attention to guests' comfort in every detail, including comfortable beds, extra blankets, sheets and nightlights in each bedroom, a well-stocked laundry room, ample towels and even coffee. The pictures on VRBO don't show the cute porch with swing and rocking chairs, the flower beds, the outdoor fire area, or the fields surrounding the house. Those were all a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this property, and hope to stay here again.

WONDERFUL WEEKEND SKI GETAWAY FROM RICHMOND VA

                5 of 5
This is a very well maintained home with all the upgrades and extras. You literally dont have to bring anything except maybe foil and of course your own groceries. They have thought of just about everything, even down to the neat soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers. We had a group of 6 and never felt on top of each other. We didnt utilize the upstairs "bunkbed room" which has the bathroom with the jacuzzi kind of attached to it, weird layout as you would think that would be for the master, but it was cool. The master is on the first floor as soon as you walk in and has awesome high celings. Large and fancy dining room for breakfast and dinner, very spacious living room with fireplace, and kitchen with all the appliances you'll need. (Fridge has cool dimming light lol) There is also a bathroom with shower right off the kitchen. Outdoor fireplace and gas bbq grill was a nice touch, but the hot tub stole the show. It took some convincing to get others into the hot tub in the middle of winter, but once they were in we had a blast just listening to some music and taking in the picturesque mountain views. The game room was a hit as well, but most of the females stayed in the house as the game room is not connected to the home, it appears to be a converted shed. But it is heated, just more of a man cave. I would recommend some carpet, a fireplace, and a sofa of some sort to make it a bit more welcoming to the ladies. Also the puck for the air hockey does not stay on the table at all, but pool and ping pong were the favorites anyway. There were extra pool sticks, ping pong rackets, balls, etc..There were even some extra board games lying around (all really nice touches) All of the TV's on this property have really great speakers for flat screens, so just turn to the music channel and you're good to go. Massanutten was only 15 minutes away and is easy to memorize the route after just a few trips. Snow tubing was excellent! There is also a small town with a Family Dollar and Seven Eleven to name a few about 5 minutes down the road, yet on this "farm" you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. Pictures are accurate and almost don't do it justice, and clean as a hotel. Becky was quick to respond and very informative and rather proud of this property. I will definitely be BACK. :)
