We booked this property for a short vacation during labor day. There were 8 of us from 3 separate families and I think each and every one of us was blow away by the house! The pictures do not do the interior of the home justice. Each bedroom is spacious, with beautiful wood dressers and comfortable large beds (queen sized for most, king in the master). You get wonderful views of the mountains in each of the rooms as well, though we barely spent any time in the rooms. Considering each room is equipped with a rather large flat screen TV, it's amazing that everyone loved the outdoor spaces so much they didn't even want to watch anything. We are a family of TV lovers and I think the TV was on maybe 15 minutes the entire weekend. There is a nice dining and living room, as well as a very spacious and functional kitchen. While there are not groceries or spices, the kitchen has all the pots/pans/utensils you could want.
The outdoor space made the house spectacular! There is a large porch in the front with rocking chairs that was lovely in the morning and evening. The back has a large stone patio with ample seating and a BBQ. The hot tub was fantastic, once we figured out how it worked! We spent 90% of our time lounging outside, talking and just enjoying the breeze. The view is very beautiful, though there are some power lines and some cars that pass by. The indoor game room is a real treat! We spent our evenings there, playing pool and ping pong. As others have mentioned, there is an air hockey table but it has weak-ish air flow. As for the entertainment around the town, there is a river adventure tour within 5 minutes of the house that we used to go tubing. Within 20 minutes are also several wineries. Shenandoah Park is about 40 minutes away.
All-in-all, this was a wonderful vacation property. We got to spend time as a family without being on top of each other. I highly recommend this property.
