Thank you Tucker

We absolutely fell in love with Onancock. The town has gourmet restaurants and stores, a Saturday fresh air market, a great theater, a wonderful marina and the friendliest folks. Everywhere we went in town people would say hello. Even the police officer in town stopped to talk and tell us about the town. I felt like we were in Mayberry on the water. This home is a historic gem. We played on the water every day, all day and in the evenings we sat and enjoyed the amazing breezes and sunset over the water. I took my morning coffee to the dock every day and watched the sunrise. The owner really worked with us. We had a challenge with air conditioners and 2 new ones were delivered the same day. We really appreciated this. Thank you! All we would say is that you understand that this is an historic home dating to the 1700's Treat it with great care and understand that on the bay there will be some mosquitos. Bring your bug spray. If you can visit when planning that is great. :)

Relaxing Vacation

5 of 5
This is one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had. The house was wonderful. Very well maintained and clean. The bird watching was wonderful and the barrier islands were just a short boat ride away. The islands were very secluded and shells were very plentiful. There are wonderful restaruants in Onnanock for dining out also excellant seafood is available for cooking at the house. The owner provided fresh fish one night and helped us get the most wonderful lobsters for $5.99 a lb. for cooking a the house. We also caught crabs from the dock. I just cannot explain how enjoyable morning coffee is on the dock. It's so pieceful with herons, skimmers, egrets and geese flying over. You can see clapper rails in the marsh and there is a large variety of song birds. The master suite downstairs has plenty of privacy and teenagers would be very content upstairs with their private living quarters If you want a vacation to get away from it all, get away in extreme comfort this is THE PLACE!
