This house is amazing. My husband and I stayed for a week with our two dogs. Our daughter and her boyfriend came for the weekend. The house is pretty well secluded and private. There are homes close by but there are plenty of trees around the house. We felt so at home here and really didn't want to leave! Like others have said, it is a good 30 minutes to town so bringing supplies is a good idea. The house is so nicely decorated. Some beautiful antiques there! The beds are comfortable though my daughter said that the bed in BR #2 was too hard for her as she is used to a softer bed. I found the bed in the MB to be just fine.
We found a lot of ticks after going down to the river so be on the lookout for them. I don't believe they were deer ticks but still...
Definitely recommend going tubing. Shenandoah River Outfitters, just up the road, are awesome. The ride down the river was so relaxing and enjoyable! Wildlife is abundant in the area. We saw deer, fox, raccoon, rabbits (LOTS of rabbits!), turkey, hummingbirds, cardinals, blue jays, and other birds we didn't recognize. If you're in to bird watching, bring your binoculars. I sat on the front porch every morning to listen to all of the birds singing.
What a great time we had at this cabin. We would definitely rent again from Anna.
