This was my first time staying in the country and I loved it. I have never stayed in a cabin so I was happy to see this cottage that had the comforts of home yet located on the Shenandoah River. The owners did an excellent job of describing the property so there were no surprises. Very nicely decorated and maintained and clean. The screened porch is wonderful and I just wish it was a little warmer so I could have stayed out there more. Since they warned of the gravel road, we took our truck and had no problems. Since we knew that we would be 30 min. from town, we were prepared. We enjoyed canoeing on the river, fishing, cooking over the fire and listening to the river. We hiked in the George Washington National Forest. The trail was a short way from the cabin but the entrance was not marked. It was difficult to find but worth the effort. The views from the top of the mountain were spectacular.Very nice stay.
