Best place for a rest and outings greatly needed

5 of 5
We could not have ask for more from this wonderful place to stay. Perfectly located, Very nice, clean, everything that you could possibly think of was already thought of. Quiet, restful, with views of the mountains that are never ending, watching the clouds and occasional fog roll over them is breath taking. The covered picnic area behind the house is a very nice addition. Next to relaxing we had plenty on our list to do before we left. The Luray Caverns are very close. We got there before noon and could do a self guided tour. Of course the plenty hiking trails in the Shenandoah National park or the George Washington National park. There's horse back ridding close, the Jordan Hollow Ranch looked very nice. On our way home we went up and over the George W. MT. to Fort Valley Ranch and had a wonderful ride. The cafe Gathering Grounds has wifi if needed and great coffee, in Luray. First and foremost Gina, was so nice to work with and answering any questions, in helping us plan this trip. Wonderful place to stay and we hope to get back there sooner than later. p.s. Missing that MT.view

Great place

5 of 5
We had a wonderful time here. It was nice to be greeted by a warm, clean, well-equipped cabin. The chocolate chip cookies were a great surprise! Also, it was nice to have hand soap, dish soap, cleaning supplies, etc. provided. You often don't have these in other rentals. Thanks for the nice week!

A Great Getaway

5 of 5
We stayed for a weekend in late march and brought our Setter along with us to hike and enjoy the Shenendoah wilderness. All arrangements were made ahead of time with Mr. Ey and the trip went incredibly smoothly. The road doesn't show up on my GPS, but with directions provided I was easily able to navigate the road to the cabin. I can see where the driveway can get a little tricky in the winter, but we had no issues in the Jeep and the folks staying in the cabin up the ridge had no difficulties in their Prius. On taking in the cabin we were glad that it felt rustic while not being over the top with log furniture. Very nicely decorated and usable for cooking a couple meals and home-basing your adventure from. The property was immaculately clean for a cabin in the woods, and we had no issues with anything inside the cabin. The hot tub was an absolute lifesaver on the day of our waterfall hike in the national park, and the fireplace was great as it started to get a little chilly outside. Overall a great place and it gave us plenty of ideas for our own log home dreams. I would definitely recommend this cabin to a friend, and we'll certainly be back for another adventure.
