We really enjoyed our stay. The house is nicely laid out, even with neighbors on both sides the main view is just of the woods, so it feels like it's very remote. And it's quiet, exactly what we look for when we leave downtown DC.
The owners do something that I wish more owners did, which is to have a basic stuff around the house. They don't advertise it, of course, because there's no guarantee of what will be there for any specific guest, but I hate showing up at a place where there's no paper towels or salt and you kick yourself for not packing everything like you were moving to a new place.
Instead, Lani and Garth have stocked the bathrooms with Costco shampoo and soap, the kitchen has some napkins and paper towels and salt/pepper, the frig has mustard and ketchup, so if you forgot them you're not out of luck when grilling hot dogs. This is exactly what I'd do should we own a place like this.
