What a restful week we had!

4 of 5
We all needed a break from it all, and Fish Tales fit the bill. It's not a fancy house, but the views and deck were wonderful, with some amazing sunrises. The beds were comfy, the showers plenty hot, and the kitchen well stocked. The kayak was a very popular item. It was easy to make trips into town for daily needs. As with all rentals, it could use a hard end-of-season cleaning which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. The owner was very helpful with activity suggestions and we appreciated the welcome gift! Thank you, Catherine!

Tops in Charming Historical Comfort

5 of 5
We went to sight-see in the Northern Neck area and Lynhams was an amazing surprise! I've stayed in Williamsburg's Colonial Village and those cottages are replicas of this place--right down to the doors and configuration. It sits amidst modern homes on a golf course but that didn't diminish the thrill of staying in a historical treasure--with cable TV to boot! Nearby, you can visit the upscale Tides Inn, tour Christ Church, and poke around quaint little towns. Be sure to eat at Irvington's Trick Dog Cafe.
