Most relaxing vacation

4 of 5
Had an awesome time during our stay. Enjoyed fishing and floating and sitting on the deck. Visited the D-Day Memorial in nearby Bedford (my History Education major son really enjoyed it). Also a lot of Civil War History in nearby towns/cities (Lynchburg, Bedford) for any history buffs. Being in the cove, there is no boat traffic other than those coming and leaving. Nice quiet area with beautiful views. The only downfall is the deck could use some shade like an umbrella for the table. Afternoon sun can be brutal. Nearest grocery (for shopping for the week) is about 20-25 minutes away but very scenic drive. Limited TV channels, but it's vacation so who needs TV? This former beach going family hopes to return to the tranquility of the lake next year.
