Just finished an excellent three-day weekend at the cabin. 2.5 hours from DC with 9 friends. We had a perfect weekend with a nice walk to a creak trail from the house (with several creek crossings) on Saturday and then drove twenty minutes to High Knob Fire Tower trail (3 mile loop that took about 1.5 hours). The rest of the time was spent lounging at the cabin, cooking food, playing Settlers of Catan and watching movies. Katie and her husband were extremely responsive and provide tremendous customer service. Steve stopped by to check in on us after I mentioned having trouble getting a fire lit in the fire place and extra supplies were sent up when we asked for them. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. VRBO places can be hit or miss. this was a hit!

An Amazing Last Minute Weekend Away

5 of 5
My husband and I decided literally Friday morning we wanted to head for the mountains. Katie was on top of everything from the minute I called to the minute we arrived, she was in constant contact and answered all of our questions. I still feel bad for arriving as late as we did but she was there to welcome us. The house is better than the pictures and is truly a tough place to close the door to when it's time to head home. The home has absolutely everything we could need and then some. Dogs had a fantastic time as well. Lots of walks and outdoor time. They found their own entertainment with all of the squirrels, birds and chickens running around. This place a is MUST if you are looking for a cabin in this neck of the woods. Would 100% stay here again without a doubt.
