I simply can't use too many superlatives as I write about the Family Reunion my family had at Nomini Hall. The setting is spectacular, quiet and relaxing. We all enjoyed gazing at the stars, hiking around the estate and experiencing all the wonders of nature. The house itself is outfitted with every possible amenity and the kitchen accommodated six chefs simultaneously, each preparing their own specialty. We all felt as though we were transported in time to the mid-1700s as the museum-like ambiance was perfect. We had the opportunity to use the two additional accommodations and we found that the barn and basement fit the needs for two families with young children who required more privacy.
We explored Stratford Hall based on the abundance of historical literature that was carefully chronicled in a folder on display as we entered the house. We grilled in the grill that was provided on the screened-in porch and I am quite certain that we took advantage of every opportunity available to us that weekend. It's rare when you have a group of people assembling for a family reunion when everyone raves about the facilities. We all look forward to returning for a longer get together next year.
