New Year's Stay

5 of 5
The house was chilly when we arrived but warmed up when the caretaker brought us more electric heaters for the big house. Beautiful views and interesting books, family pictures and "what nots" around the house. We had a delicious dinner our first night at Mallards in Onancock. We cooked in for the rest of our stay and the kitchen has all the things we needed. The wind was favorable for a bon fire on two nights. Saw lots of stars in the winter sky! Very beautiful. We lucked out with the weather. Beautiful days and chilly nights.

Beautiful location and house

5 of 5
Our family of five adults and three children had a wonderful stay at Water's Edge. The location is picturesque and secluded. The house is beautiful and very well equipped. Good use was made of the bikes to explore the surrounding area and the canoe was used for fishing. We brought our stand-up paddle boards and found the bay to be mostly calm and perfect for the boards. Mostly however, we enjoyed relaxing on the beach (very few bugs) or watching the world move slowly by from the porch, from where we saw 8-10 Porpoises while drinking coffee one morning. The resounding vote by the whole family was to return next year.
