Peaceful get away in a perfect location

5 of 5
A wonderful place to vacation with all the amenities you need for that perfect vacation. The home is decorated with charm and has so much character. We spent a wonderful week together with family and enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful wrap around porch with wine and conversation every evening. Our grandchildren loved running around in the large yard catching lightning bugs and playing hide and seek. The beach is so close and perfect for children as the water is so shallow for them to play in. We enjoyed sharing breakfast and dinner in the sunny breakfast room. My son and husband and brother-in-law did all the cooking while all of us ladies enjoyed the week just relaxing. The location of this home is perfect for walking to the shops and restaurants and we enjoyed biking through the neighborhood. The owner's are so accommodating and the home is absolutely immaculate. I would recommend vacationing in this home for either couples or your larger family as there is plenty of room to share. We will definitely be back to enjoy another fantastic vacation in this home. awesome stay

This house just added to the charm of a wonderful vacation town on the Chesapeake bay. Very comfortable beds and great floor plan for our needs. Enjoyed walking down the the main avenue just outside the front door. Very convenient.

gorgeous spot!

5 of 5
We had an amazing time here at the end of the summer, with perfect weather and hardly any neighbors around. The house is very homey and comfortable, with good beds, nice bathrooms, and a heavenly outdoor shower. It's got a nice big kitchen with everything a serious chef could need; we visited a bunch of farm stands along the way, and there are good seafood vendors nearby, as well as a great Food Lion. As nice as the house is inside, we really enjoyed the sweet amenities outdoors - fun excursions in the kayaks, cocktails on the Adirondack chairs watching some astonishing sunsets, chillin' in the hammock, breakfast at the picnic table under the shade of the oak tree...One morning, several pods of dolphins swam by, heading up the creek for their mullet breakfast - such a treat to see, and apparently a rarity! My husband caught many crabs in the pots off the dock, as well as some nice croakers when we rented a little motorboat out of the nearby town of Wachapreague, where we spent the day on the water, hoping for flounder and exploring the remote barrier islands. Just wonderful. We took a picnic to the beach at Assateague for sunrise one morning - hardly any people, many pelicans - the water temperature and waves of the Atlantic were mild and beautiful. To get there you drive by some gorgeous marshland and through the touristy but cute town of Chincoteague. Nice! This part of the Eastern Shore of Chesapeake has long been our favorite - surrounded by nature, with a few picturesque small towns, rolling farmlands and beautiful water everywhere. Can't wait to return to this house and pretend that it's ours! The owners were extra nice and made the whole experience easy. We hope to get back there as often as we can!
