Wonderful House on the Water

5 of 5
We had a great time in this home. The owner welcomed our furry friends, cats and dogs, which was so nice. Our Lab adored the water access and took swims daily. We were even able to comfortably park our 33 foot RV in front. The house had everything we needed. The yard is huge and fenced. We fished from the dock and brought home dinner whenever we did. We had a big fire out in the firepit, which has nice seating all around. The porch is ideal for having a cup of coffee, even in the rain. We fell in love with this quirky little town. We rented a golf cart for the week and it was all we needed. Close to banks, grocery, hardware store as well as restaurants. We were very comfortable here.

Nice place!

4 of 5
As noted, the house has been newly renovated. Pictures don't lie - great layout and nice design. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. It was great having 3 bathrooms! There are several small beaches all within walking distance. None of them were ever crowded. We took a day trip to Westmoreland State Park - well worth the visit. They have some great hiking trails, beaches AND an Olympic sized swimming pool. Also took a tour at Ingleside Winery - had fun doing the wine tasting. My son, son-in-law and grandchildren went fishing with Captain "Frog" and had a great day! They caught plenty of fish which we had for supper that night. (I left Captain Frog's business card in the binder at the house.) Kids had fun riding the bikes provided by owner - nice small town so safe for kids to ride around.

Great weekend get away.

5 of 5
What a fun and charming place for a get away! My wife and I stayed here for a weekend in July and it was just what we were looking for. It was relaxing and quiet yet only blocks from restaurants, the marina and the beach. The decor is fun and inviting and the patio and yard are nice for a cold beer or glass of wine when the sun drops. The kitchen was a huge plus for us as we love to cook and felt right at home cooking dinner one of the nights. The bed was comfortable and we slept like babies. The best part has to be the shower! Double shower heads each with their own temperature control make it feel like a spa! Seriously, I was blown away as most hotels don't even come close to something like that. All in all we had a great time and will be back!
