Spring Break

5 of 5
Our family enjoyed our stay here even though the weather was not ideal. Beautiful decor and water view.Very spacious with lots of seating for dining indoors and out. We enjoyed fantastic meals at Merrior in Topping, VA and Easter Brunch at the Tides Inn. We also visited The Dog and Oyster Winery while there. Next time we visit, we will come when the pool is open and the weather is warm. Rental prices for this property are very reasonable, and I would recommend it to friends.

the best of both worlds... fishing and farming!

5 of 5
Loved every minute of this house... from the large shady tulip poplar in the front yard, to the views of the sailboats in front and barn in the back. My family wants to return every year. Loved the simplicity of the house... from the creaking original old wood steps to the front porch door slamming every time one of our kids came in from 'wherever'. Felt totally at home and comfortable in this very reasonably priced rental. The owner, Mr. Olverson, was even nice enough to leave fresh picked corn on our picnic table. Now that's what I call "Southern Hospitality."

Fabulous winter getaway

5 of 5
I was in awe at how the pictures were exactly like the property. 9 women and I had planned a weekend getaway for my 40th birthday. The house was emmaulate and the setting breathtaking. I enjoyed sun rises, sea kayaking (yes in the winter), fires and just sitting on the wonderful deck enjoying the amazing views. The beachfront is such a nice feature...easy entrance to the water, and I know wonderful for small children. This property is a away from it all.....very secluded and away from all the chaos some vacation spots offer. Enjoy local small towns and fare. The house was spacious...we never felt crowded and the kitchen....was large. I can imagine that is would be a wonderful summer vacation as well and plan to take my family this summer. Enjoy this wonderful home and the rest and relaxation a vacation can truely be!!!!
