Out At Sea

5 of 5
With fabulous water views on three sides, we felt like we were out at sea on an ocean liner. And since it rained most of the time we were there we were lulled by the sound of the raging surf. The house is beautiful and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well outfiitted and easy to cook in. The master bedroom is huge, and the master bath sports the best shower I've ever been in, with special spouts all over. My only disappointment was that there was nothing near by to visit. Even the only market was Food Lion, 10 miles away. A number of places were closed since we were there post Labor Day. So if you go off-season, just bring all the food you'll need and pretend you're on a ship!

Fantastic vacation

5 of 5
Our family of five had a wonderful time at Blue Water Haven. Everything is provided for an enjoyable stay and the property is really well maintained and beautifully presented. We stayed for 2 weeks so had plenty of time to enjoy all the home and area has to offer. We made use of the kayaks, canoes and bikes and hired a boat for part of our stay. The local town of Mathews has some lovely restaurants and a couple of grocery stores. It i an easy 10 minute cycle away. We also visited the historic triangle and Busch Gardens, all approximately 1 hour away by car. We have stayed at several rental properties in the U.S. and throughout Europe and this was one of the best we have stayed at, in the most wonderful setting.

Wonderfully Relaxing Home

5 of 5
This home is just like the pictures, no surprises. It has everything you need for a weeks vacation. The dock provided wonderful views of the river and sunsets, and we enjoyed fishing and crabbing from the dock. In the yard there is a beautiful (huge) wooden picnic table close to the river, we were able to enjoy two meals out there. I had never been to the area and had questions about the rental and what to do while there, they were very prompt with getting back to me with any question I had and was very helpful. I would definitely go back to this home.
