Wish we'd stayed longer

5 of 5
After facing very poor weather on our drive we were thrilled to "come home" to Afton Cottage." We spent a lovely night and spent the next day exploring the property and neighborhood. In the end we were sad to leave, we could have definitely lingered longer. One recommendation is to stop at the grocery store if you're planning to self cater, once we got there we were disinclined to leave.

Perfect!

Su Casa is our favorite home-away-from-home in the world! A beautiful, comfortable spot in a perfect location - handy to Charlottesville and UVA, also to the Blue Ridge mountains. Quiet, with gorgeous views in all seasons. Wildlife galore! 2 stories, well appointed, outdoor deck and grill. There are TVs, internet, all the mod cons but you will not use them because you will lose yourself in the beauty of the outdoors.

Can't get much better then this!!!!

My wife and I celebrated our 11th anniversary at this wonderful property and we loved it! The Carriage House was exactly as the description says, very spacious and very well appointed. Everything we needed was provided and the owners were very helpful with information about the area. We overslept both mornings due to the peacefulness and the great bed! They even allowed us bring our dogs which was very nice of the them to do. We also fell in love with one of their dogs named "Chubs" who was a gracious host as well! He took the lead on all our walks and led us around the property showing the way to the waterfall and all the other trails. Very cool dog! The hot tub was an awesome place to hang and enjoy the evening. About a 20 minute drive to the town of Scottsville where they have a couple nice eateries as well as the James River Brewing Company (great beer!). We would recommend this property to anyone at any age. A lot to do and see even if you never leave the house!
