ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME!!

5 of 5
Fran was wonderful from our first contact one year ago!! We were here for our daughter's graduation from UVA. Her home worked out perfectly for our family and grandparents as well (6 of us ). Her beautiful, and very clean home was convenient to many popular stores. The neighborhood was very inviting. We would highly recommend it to anyone who needed to stay in Charlottesville!

Stunning home in the heart of Charlottesville

5 of 5
I can sum up this place in one sentence - it's literally almost too nice to rent. I recently rented this house with a group of 8 guys for a golf weekend in Charlottesville. Everyone was very impressed with all aspects - the photos definitely do not do it justice. The house sits on about 3.5 acres in the heart of Charlottesville convenient to everything. The front yard is big enough to play football/soccer with 12-15 people and certainly large enough for any children to enjoy without fear of cars/roads. It was very recently renovated and the owner spared no expense - top notch finishes everywhere including a double wide sub zero refrigerator/freezer combo, double wolf oven with oversized range/griddle and a kitchen with enough prep space and appliances to cater a small wedding. Every inch of this historic home that was once built as the "Charlottesville Country Club" has been renovated and restored to its former glory. The woodworking detail throughout the home (especially the crown moldings and ceiling in the game room) shows the care and energy put into the renovation project by the new owner. Another fantastic feature is the home automation system throughout that allows guests to control all aspects of the home from temperature to music to entertainment choices on any of the many flat screen TVs. Everything can be controlled either by the remotes in each location or centrally from an iPad/iPhone/Android app. Our group also enjoyed quite a few post-round beers while playing parlor games on the competition foosball table as well as the full sized shuffleboard table in the basement. If you are looking for a great place to stay in the heart of Charlottesville then look no further. There's also a very nice caretaker that lives onsite but out of the way who is very helpful getting guests settled in. We will definitely rent The Lodge at Trail's End on our next trip to Charlottesville!

Just as Advertised!

5 of 5
My wife and I brought our two children (ages 8 and 5) to give them the experience of being secluded in the mountains in this uniquely beautiful and special home. It was as advertised and provided everything we were looking for- an exciting drive to the top, seclusion, and natural beauty along with all the amenities one would find at home. We unplugged the television and enjoyed family time- hiking a few miles on a nearby trail, looking for wild animals (we saw a lot of deer and signs of a bear in the woods!), and the opportunity to create special memories as a family. I would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in doing the same! The owner was very nice and easy to work with and we’re lucky he’s willing to share such a special place. We would definitely go back at some point in the future!
