Exceptional Privacy and Peace, with space to Play

5 of 5
This spacious house accommodated three couples and two small kids perfectly: clean, comfy, stocked with games for kids and an extensive library on an amazing range of subjects. Both open and screened decks for all weather, and views of four mountain ranges in one direction and otherwise surrounded by dense pristine forest. Of all the places we've stayed as a family we've never had such an extensive grassy area for games for young and adult. Space to play softball, for example. VPI and central Blacksburg are an easy 25 mins. away, and to the west of the city is amply opportunity for fishing and boating. A meal at Mountain Lake is worth a visit, and the literature in the house will lead to other eateries. We especially enjoyed picnicing along a river while fishing. The most special feature of Blackberry Morning is, however, Susie, the most gracious and helpful owner we've ever encountered.

Wonderful Time at Buck Lair Cabin

5 of 5
My husband and I rented this cabin for a visit with our daughter at Virginia Tech. The cabin is charming, thoughtfully decorated with personal touches. It truly was a delight to be able to stay here. It was very peaceful sitting on the front porch listening to the stream and the birds. It is close to Tech and convenient to Blacksburg and Christiansburg. The owners were so easy to work with. We would definitely love to stay here again!
