Perfect cabin for basecamp, close to lifts!

5 of 5
Got this cabin for my wife and I for a weekend at Bryce Mountain Bike Park It was perfect, very nice hot tub, back decks are totally private It's about a 1-2 minute drive max to the parking lot at the lifts (very bike-able if you want even after a full day of riding) 2 full levels and a upper loft (would be great for kids, they could be downstairs or vice versa), the full kitchen is on the bottom level, there is a small kitchenette without a fridge on the upper level the upper level is super open and bright, very high ceilings although we got it just for us, the place is big, it could fit 3 couples in private bedrooms and like 8 people in the loft depending on how close they wanted to be The house was setup perfectly when we arrived, it has AC but when we were there just open screened windows were perfect (I don't think I saw a single bug inside, and there were almost zero at the times we were outside which was a nice surprise) so we loved it, it felt very homey and was awesome to come back to after a full day biking and relax, we plan to come back just us again, and with friends as Bryce bike park is surprisingly fun for how high the mountain is (I guess I should have figured it would be fun as the guys that made Whlister helped design Bryce) Also I have AT&T and got full 4 bars LTE service just as fast as in DC if that makes a difference to anyone Great cabin, very fun biking, highly recommended!

Wonderful scape from the DC area

5 of 5
I have been going regularly to this lake house for many years and I would definitely recommended for a getaway from the stress of the city. The house is really cozy, built in wood, with everything that you might need in order to feel comfortable (yes, it also has wi/fi, but you will not need it). The lake is a wonderful place for swimming, kayaking, bird watching, exploring, barbequeing or just laying around doing nothing but relaxing. From the deck you will have a wonderful view of the water, all surrounded by trees...it's too good to be just a couple hours from DC. As a plus, the sky and golf resort is less than 10 minutes by car, if you like those activities. It has also been a great pleasure to deal with Kathy, the owner, always enthusiastic about letting all her guests having a great time. She has also connected us with local farms around in order to get fresh eggs, meat and vegetables. A great place for a great adventure in spring, summer, fall or winter!!
