Great for Weekend Getaways

5 of 5
My best friends growing up and I rented this house for a weekend getaway so we could catch up, grill out, watch college football, play poker, and enjoy the outdoors. We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. The owner was very hospitable and made sure that our stay was satisfactory, and also was extremely responsive during the process of renting the house. The house is in great shape, in fact the pictures did not do it justice in our opinion. The main living room has a great setup with access to the deck, nice TV/home theater system, foosball table, wetbar, and very comfortable wraparound leather sofa. The kitchen was spacious and accommodating so we cooked dinner in both nights and a big breakfast on Saturday morning. There is an outdoor charcoal grill on the deck and under the deck a nice outdoor seating area with an outdoor gas fire pit and ping pong table. Overall we loved our stay here and had zero complaints, and will likely book this house in the future as we plan to make this an annual tradition.

Great retreat away from the city life

4 of 5
Great experience right from the beginning! No detail was left out and my guest and i felt like we were at "our" own home. The highlight was the massive deck that accommodated my party of six but could have easily held more. The owners provided everything from charcoal for the gril to laundry detergent. The resort activities were a short half mile drive if that, with the lake being an additional mile. If I have to list cons it would be from my girlfriend's perspective being that she's into interior design that the cabinets didn't have handles to open …she said the moisture from your hands would damage the cherry wood and no garbage disposal. The massive wall of windows provided plenty of natural light and huge flat screen tv that the guys could catch a quick glance at the game in between conversation :-) . Loved it had blast and will definitely be back.

The cabin was in a beautiful location.

The cabin looked exactly like the pictures. We were not disappointed at all. We had a very minor glitch with the front door lock and Ken was very helpful. We stayed with our adult kids and they had a great time at the lake. The rooms were very comfortable and although outside it felt very rustic, inside were all the comforts of home. When we come back to Shenandoah, we will certainly stay here again!
