Wow! Amazing! It was like staying in a Colorado or Montana Lodge!

5 of 5
This was a Boys' Week for me and my friends and we were very impressed with this accommodation. First, the owner is extremely nice and helpful and we even received a very well done vacation package containing helpful information, maps, brochures of the area and resort after we booked our vacation. This is certainly going above and beyond. Next, when we checked-in, the pictures just don't do justice...this place is amazing! You feel like you are walking into a western, upscale lodge. Each room has a lodge theme and we even received a welcome card, bottle of wine, coffee, cookies, chocolate, tea, hot chocolate, coffee filters, paper towels, dishwashing soap, logo glasses and mugs, and fine Ghiradeli chocolates were on the beds for turn down service! And you get premium spa soaps and shampoos in each bathroom too. It was really upscale service. The linens and towels (with bear paw prints on them) were first class, you can tell the owner cares and invested a lot of resources in setting up this fantastic accommodation. The lower level was great too and the upper level with a new kitchen and great deck was perfect. The lower level had a new pool table, Lord of the Rings pinball (really.... a REAL one) and a real Ms Pacman too. The theater wide TV with a whole collection of movies was a nice touch and the spa just outside the french doors on the covered patio was clean and inviting. The place has free internet and satellite radio with awesome speakers...again a nice touch and really cool mood lighting too...with dimmers and exterior lighting looks amazing on the Colorado Blue Spruce trees...I swear I felt like I was in CO. The location of Cedar Ridge Lodge was perfect too. Literally a 3 minute walk to the main Bryce Lodge where the ski lifts are, golfing, tennis, biking, zip lining....and restaurants and the main lodge bar was fun to have drinks and walk back to our Cedar Ridge Lodge. Make your stay here....you will not be disappointed!

Great retreat away from the city life

4 of 5
Great experience right from the beginning! No detail was left out and my guest and i felt like we were at "our" own home. The highlight was the massive deck that accommodated my party of six but could have easily held more. The owners provided everything from charcoal for the gril to laundry detergent. The resort activities were a short half mile drive if that, with the lake being an additional mile. If I have to list cons it would be from my girlfriend's perspective being that she's into interior design that the cabinets didn't have handles to open …she said the moisture from your hands would damage the cherry wood and no garbage disposal. The massive wall of windows provided plenty of natural light and huge flat screen tv that the guys could catch a quick glance at the game in between conversation :-) . Loved it had blast and will definitely be back.

Wonderful scape from the DC area

5 of 5
I have been going regularly to this lake house for many years and I would definitely recommended for a getaway from the stress of the city. The house is really cozy, built in wood, with everything that you might need in order to feel comfortable (yes, it also has wi/fi, but you will not need it). The lake is a wonderful place for swimming, kayaking, bird watching, exploring, barbequeing or just laying around doing nothing but relaxing. From the deck you will have a wonderful view of the water, all surrounded by trees...it's too good to be just a couple hours from DC. As a plus, the sky and golf resort is less than 10 minutes by car, if you like those activities. It has also been a great pleasure to deal with Kathy, the owner, always enthusiastic about letting all her guests having a great time. She has also connected us with local farms around in order to get fresh eggs, meat and vegetables. A great place for a great adventure in spring, summer, fall or winter!!
