Four Couples Awesome Vacation

5 of 5
Four couples rented Sea View Play for a week. What a blast!! This place is in the perfect location. Right on the water and within a two mile radius, there are 6 excellent local restaurants for drinks, dinner, and dancing. Scuba, snorkeling and swimming are within a mile and located right along side a very cool beach bar.....try Calvin's Mama Juana drink!! The house is very comfortable and nicely decorated with a stocked kitchen. The pool is a lifesaver and just the right size to cool off. My favorite thing was to just sit on the deck with a coffee or in the pool with a cocktail a look out over the ocean. The special location of this house allows you to see the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening. Lucy and Joel make it very easy to rent this fabulous place. We rented the house two years ago and couldn't wait to return. Trust me, we will be back!! Cheers!!

St. John's best kept secret

5 of 5
Mooncottage lived up to the very high expectations we had! With the pictures online being so incredible, one would think reality would be hard pressed to live up to our expectations, but Mooncottage did just that. We spent 10 days their and could have easily spent another 10. Every detail of the house, the view and the vibe of Coral Bay was incredible. The day we got back my wife and I were already talking about when we could book our next trip to Mooncottage. Best and most relaxing vacation I've ever been on.

Great condo and resort!

5 of 5
The condo itself has all the amenities of home. Grocery stores are just a short car trip away. The Food Center is a larger grocery store with tons of options. Moe's Fresh Market has more specialized options. We liked the Food Center because it was one place to shop and get everything (libations included). Parking is also easier at the Food Center. The condo has a ton of space for families including a great loft with a incredible balcony. We sat out there at night and listened to music. The beach is a private beach with plenty of shade and lounge chairs. You can watch sailing yachts take off and from the bay and the water is clear. The beach bar, Sangrias, has good food and drinks and the wait staff are very friendly. St. Thomas has a ton of options, including ferrying your car over to St. Johns for a day. We visited Magen's Beach, Coki Beach, Coral World and Mountain Top on St. Thomas, then took a trip over to St. Johns and went to Trunk Bay, a beautiful beach. I would suggest getting a four-wheel drive vehicle if you can. Food options are everywhere. We ate at Havana Blue, Pesce, Virgilios and Old Stone Farmhouse while we were there...as well as the two restaurants at the Elysian. All of the meals were wonderful, though the first four were fairly expensive. Get a good, detailed map or plan your excursions carefully. The roads don't always follow (my) logic and signs are not always there to point you in the right direction. We turned around a number of times trying to get to our destination and that is not always an easy task on mountain roads. AT&T GPS does work on the island which was very helpful. Streets often change names and sometimes seem to go straight when the road you need turns to the left or right. Plan carefully. If you want to shop at the duty-free shops, you really need to go on a day when ships are in port. Many of the stores close when the ships are gone. The only downsides of the trip, and this is more of an alert for those of you planning on traveling to any of the U.S. virgin islands, were the nasty noseeums. They left me alone for the most part, but they attacked my wife. She brought 50 or 60 bites home and they seem to be continuing. Do not lay directly on the sand and do not take towels or other sand-laden articles back into the condo with you. You have options here to just rest or be adventurous. We did a little of both and really enjoyed it!
