Dream Vacation Rental!!!

5 of 5
Where do I begin? This was absolutely the best vacation I have ever been on! Let's start with the house. It is beautiful and literally steps from the turquoise water! The house offers three bedrooms that are each completely private and beautifully decorated. Each room has it's own Air Conditioner and crisp, clean, comfortable beds. There is tons of closet space and even extra touches such as blow dryers and extra linens. The bathrooms are beautiful and each one unique with tiled tubs and one even has a partial outside (but completely private) shower. There are two porches on the property and each give you the most amazing view of cane garden bay and the water. The living space and kitchen are clean and cozy and open up to the top porch making you always feel part of the beautiful surroundings. The house is truly unique and a once in a lifetime place to stay, I'm telling you! Now for the location. The house is steps away from all of the action on Cane Garden Bay, meaning you can walk to many great spots to eat dinner, dance, or watch the sunset with cocktail! Overall, the best thing about this house is that it gives you that great island living beachy feel with all of the creature comforts (TV, AC, Privacy, cookware, radio, comfortable beds) that you would hope for. I would recommend this rental to anyone and I cannot wait to stay here again!

A Perfect Vacation

5 of 5
Our party of six adults had a perfect time during our stay at Cohoba House. The other reviews are right - the pictures do not do the property justice- the house and views are breathtaking!! The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. We ate every morning at the wonderful covered outdoor table and watched the boats sail by below. It was an easy walk or drive to Smuggler's Cove or Long Bay Beach - both the nicest beaches I have ever seen. Sopers Hole marina was nearby and great to visit. Charles our caretaker - we cannot say enough - he had a solution for every question that we had. Cohoba House is truly amazing in every way - we will be back!!!

6 Star View 3 Star accommodation

4 of 5
This was the first time we encountered some disappointing surprises booking through VRBO. Will say first of all that Evolve Vacations was great at responding to my initial inquiry and made the booking process a breeze. Also, the owner of the villa was very pleasant and responsive. If you were to rate the villa exclusively for its spectacular view of the rolling hills and the ocean below and it's private location still within reach to some very good dining and great beaches, the rating would go off the charts. The pictures on the VRBO website accurately depict the view you will most definitely enjoy. What it does not mention or show however is that the 2 main bedrooms are quite removed from that view. More specifically, they are located below the main living area and do not afford either the view or the comfort that we anticipated. Aside from feeling dark and isolating, one of the bedrooms had a wall of doors that could be fully opened for fresh air and the tropical breeze. Sounds great in theory, but since there are no screens on the doors, you are at the mercy of the hungry mosquitos (the mosquito net was inadequate) & we felt a little vulnerable/not secure leaving doors wide open sleeping on the ground level. The other bedroom (located even further below the house), did have screens on the windows, however the windows were small so there really is no view). The other 'annoyance' with this 2nd bedroom was its' 'non-suite'- bathroom(!) located on the other side of the stairwell. Didn't much enjoy having to 'hike' outside and across the hall in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. We accepted the rather odd layout and 'closed in'/dark and rustic vibe of the bedrooms but were quite disappointed as we were really looking forward to a higher standard of comfort that we had anticipated. The main living area of the villa was well equipped with necessities and was clean. Wi-Fi was perfect. Would describe the décor as comfortable leaning to rustic - much like a cottage. Would have helped if the oven and the BBQ was working properly. Also, the exterior of the property overall appeared a little neglected & needs some TLC ( 'sticky' door hinges, stairwells looks dingy/dirty, broken outdoor patio tiles, the pool lounge chairs on arrival were scattered randomly....small but important 'improvements' that this beautiful property deserves! Enjoyable stay overall, but hopefully this review is both helpful and constructive.
