Even though the online pictures are incredible, nothing can actually compare with actually be there. The view overlooking the ocean is simply breathtaking. The Villa itself is warm and relaxing and has all the amenities of home. Moreover, because the villa is located on the north side of the island, its is secluded. In fact, if you decided not to leave the villa for the entire week, you would never see another person, except on a far away passing boat. I am already planning for next year. Thanks Andy.

It is rare that the actual vacation matches your expectations and imagination but Sand Dollar did. The home was in a perfect location on the island and the beaches were perfect for all ages. The staff was wonderful. Bob was available 24/7 and always had a calm and cool caribbean, St. Thomas disposition. Monica and Andrine were fabulous in the kitchen. Despite being in the U.S., Suzanne was easily accessible, kind and accommodating with all our of needs and questions prior to and during our stay. I would not hesitate to stay at Sand Dollar again. To quote one of my favorite movies, "I hope the Pacific (Caribbean in this case) is as blue as it has been in my dreams". Well it was. Thanks so much.

I'm really reluctant to talk about how much we loved staying here, because it's just going to make it more popular and more expensive. :) That said, we did indeed love our stay here. As other reviews have said, what you see in the description is what you get: the room looks like the pictures, the view looks like the pictures, it's all well maintained, etc. The only thing it's worth understanding is that a) it's not easy to get to a beach without a rental car, and b) the view is from the outside patio, not from the room. We were absolutely fine with both of these; we often sat outside sipping coffee and just looked out at the beautiful view of the ocean. If you want to be on a beach, just drive to a beach. There are many, and they're essentially all public! Corlette and Kenneth were infinitely welcoming and helpful. We got to have several long conversations with them, and they pointed us to a little local restaurant favored by locals that was cheaper than the tourist traps, delicious, and gave us an opportunity to sample some more local fare. It's a wonderful gem, a perfect little cozy getaway for a couple escaping the winter. We plan on returning!
