This was our third stay on St. Croix in five years and all I have to say is that we were totally blown away by this villa! The pictures on Home Away are nice but in reality it’s like a magazine and my wife said it felt like we were in one of those HGTV Designer shows! Beautiful art in every single room, this is sophisticated island living. Spotless, and fully stocked, we didn’t have to bring anything but our bathing suits and flip flops which we basically lived in the whole week. The villa is spread out so no-one felt like they were on top of each other. The big new kitchen had everything we could need, even a blender for our morning smoothies. The location is in a quiet valley, surrounded by trees and birds with an awesome ocean view of Buck Island. The designer bathrooms are nicer than other villas we’ve stayed in, and my daughter loved having her own luxurious bathroom. There is a nice lime tree just outside one of the bedrooms and we made good use of them in our nightly Cruzan rum on ice by the pool. Buck Island with Llewellyn is a must, do the half day. Had brunch again at Sand Castles Beach Café in Frederiksted, really good omelets (plan to take your time, no rushing here;) Lisa recommended a place called Villa Morales near Frederiksted and was by far the best Caribbean food we’ve had. We went on Friday night, she said order sautéed shrimp with rice even though it’s not on the menu, swimming in butter, so good! My daughter is a vegan and we found a cute and good place in Christiansted called Ital in Paradise, we went there twice. Our last night we did the traditional Duggan’s Reef and it was great, even in a big downpour!
My only request is for the fireflies to come out every night by the pool deck rather than only on the first night we were here. Can we make that happen for our next visit?:))
