A Great Week at Cruzan Sands - Happy New Year!

5 of 5
We spent the last week of December at Cruzan Sands with our family (family of 5, with adult children). We really enjoyed the property -- super nice / clean house. Great water views from outside the house. When in the house, we spent most of our time between the kitchen and the spacious family room (all open / connected). We found the house to be situated perfectly on St Croix. We took three trips to Sandy Point beach; this beach is amazing - not crowded and the water is clear blue (one of the best beaches we've ever been on). The house was also perfect getting to daily activities, the grocery store, and dinners in Christiansted. One night, we did have Chef Julianna prepare a meal (it was a feast and the price reasonable). We also really enjoyed dinner at Rowdy Joe's - right down the street (best fish taco's I ever had!). It was our first trip to St Croix and we found the Island to be very enjoyable / people friendly / varied activities / easy to get around via car. The Cruzan Sands property was terrific (and safe and secure, when we were out during the day). Only negative, we couldn't use the beach (on the property) because of the quantity of seaweed that washed up. Not a big deal, since we found a large / beautiful beach 15 minutes away. One last thing -- make sure you stop at the Chicken Shack (a local food treasure).

Beautiful home with fabulous views.

5 of 5
We truly had the best vacation in this beautiful home in beautiful St. Croix. The owner met us at the airport and led the way to the house. After arriving she showed us around and gave us tips on things to do and places to visit. We were pleasantly surprised that the house was much larger than the pictures portray. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils needed and the outdoor grill became our favorite means of cooking. We spent the majority of our time by the pool, soaking up the sunshine and relaxing with delicious Cruzan rum. The property is a vacation all on its own. We actually spent 3 days at home and never left....it was wonderful. When we did go out we enjoyed cruising around, stopped in Christiansted and Frederiksted to see the sites and drove through the rain forest. The people of St. Croix are most friendly and helpful, we were always very comfortable and never felt out of place. This home has absolutely everything you need to have a relaxing luxurious vacation. High end property, very clean and the location is perfect. I would highly recommend this property.....it's a beautiful home.

Pefect!!

5 of 5
We arrived on 12/22/14 and drove directly to the cottage from the airport. The drive was approximately 20 minutes. Just remember they drive on the left in St Croix. We stayed for 9 wonderful nights and 10 beautiful days. The cottage was immaculate and contained everything you could possibly need. The full kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and glasses. We used the stove top, oven, microwave, and toaster for at least one meal each day of our stay. For us the Plaza Extra super market near the airport had the best prices and selections. Cost U Less was a close second. There are plenty of towels and wash clothes for the bath and even beach towels if you need them. Snorkel gear, beach chairs: many all inclusive resorts do not provide the amenities that are provided by Chad and Emily. Perfect hosts by the way. They have a beautiful, special piece of property on St. Croix and we feel very fortunate to have had them share it with us. As dazzling as the pictures of the cottage are, it is even more spectacular when you are there in person. The cottage is centrally located on the island which is a big plus. We would head out each day after enjoying our morning coffee and breakfast while the sun rose over the hills just to the east. Each morning was so peaceful and perfect. Everywhere that we visited on the island was worth the time spent, but the following were special. Buck Island, you just have to see it. I don't have the words. We used Big Beard's for our trip to Buck Island and enjoyed every minute. The towns of Christiansted and Frederiksted. The Catholic, Episcopal, and Lutheran churches in Christiansted. The Carambola resort in the west end, Tamarind Reef Resort, Shoy's Beach,The Buccaneer Resort, all of the east end of the island, and the Rain Forest are some examples of the places we enjoyed very much. We ate very well during our stay. The sandwiches freshly prepared at the Quality Grocery near the cottage, were large and as tasty as any I have ever had. Paris preferred them to the ones at Turtle's Deli. Both locations are a must stop in my opinion. In the evening we especially enjoyed our meals at the Palms Restaurant, and at Angry Nate's on the Boardwalk. The rock lobster that I had was just perfect and delicious. The Mermaid Grill at the Buccaneer was very good as was the Deep End Bar and Restaurant and Tamarind Reef. La Reine's Chicken Shack is another must stop. Planning our return already, J and P
