Wedded Bliss!

5 of 5
We got married last weekend at Villa St John under the gazebo by the pool with the reception onsite as well. The event could not have gone better! With over 30 people for wedding and reception, there was plenty of room inside and out and our guests throughly enjoyed this beautiful spot and house!! Our family stayed at the house for the week. We had a couple of single adult family members staying in the main house bedrooms and Jarrid put a few air mattresses on frames in the guest house upstairs for the young adult children/cousins with plenty of room for everyone! The views were awesome and the rooms were very spacious. I loved the window in the shower and saw an iguana in the tree outside the window over the tub. We cooked family dinners in the kitchen with plenty of room for everyone to chip in and plenty of room for dining. Some of the beach chairs had torn bottoms and when I let Jarrid know, we had new ones before the next day! Awesome service!! I would definitely go back to Villa St John, we had a fabulous time. Don't forget your bug spray if you go to St John in the summer time!

A Dream Come True

5 of 5
Island Stones is a Villa out of a story book. There were 12 of us, ranging in age from 32-61 and we all agree our stay in this Villa was like a dream come true. From the views, to the amenities, to the attention to our requests. During our stay we asked for beach chairs, snorkel equipment a couple repairs all were delivered or completed within hours of our request. Henry, who is in charge of maintenance, truly did everything possible to make our visit to Island Stones as comfortable as possible. And he succeeded! This trip was in celebration of mine and my husbands 10 year anniversary. We were married on St. John and most of this same group was with us in 2004 and although the villa we rented then was also stupendous, Island Stones wins the prize. We have always done all of our own shopping and cooking during these trips. Island Stones made this an easy task for 12. The veranda and the bar area is such a wonderful place for gathering and just having fun. The Wifi was great, we were able to hook up our Iphones, play our music, dance and enjoy. During the days, after returning from the beach, we would take to the pool for a late afternoon dip along with afternoon cocktails. How fun! As for the house itself, wow! The bedrooms are nicely separated and you have a lot of privacy. Everyone loved their outside showers and as I briefly mentioned already, the kitchen and all the amenities made storing all the food and cooking a breeze. As others have mentioned in their reviews, renting a four wheel vehicle is necessary. Although a taxi will come down the road, it makes it much easier to just drive yourself. We rented three (3) Jeeps between the twelve of us and that worked out perfectly. If you are one of the lucky ones who gets a chance to rent this wonderful villa, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Ken and Sue from PVB, FL

5 of 5
This was our second stay in Bruce and Sue's condo at the Elysian Resort on Cowpet Bay, and we loved every minute! There are times when you return to a place for a second time and experience a bit of a let-down...but that was not the case during our second stay. The condo is as advertised, complete in every detail. Red Hook, the tiny town and inter-island ferry terminal, is a five minute drive away. The American Marina, several very good restaurants, and not-to-be missed Duffy's Love Shack reside in Red Hook. Stock up on groceries at a market about a mile outside Red Hook, or take a short drive to the town of TuTu for grocery shopping which is a bit less expensive. There are two restaurants right on Elysian Resort property...walk to either. Only steps away enjoy your own private beach with a beautiful view of Cowpet Bay and the Caribbean. Your beach is unspoiled and uncrowded. Pick up a rental car at the airport. That will work much better for you than hiring cabs during your stay. As St Thomas is a small island, your road trips will be short but the Virgin Islands are full of low mountains and roads sometimes have steep inclines. Not to worry though, blazing speed on St Thomas equals 20-25 miles per hour. From your Cowpet Bay condo you are minutes away from some spectacular beaches: Megans Bay on St Thomas and Trunk Bay on St John enjoy world renown. Take a fifteen minute ferry ride to St. John from Red Hook. Explore St John, catch some rays at any of its spectacular beaches, then stop by one of its relaxed restaurants/bars for a sunset dinner. Pack your bags, then unpack half your stuff. A couple changes of clothes, a few bathing suits and flip-flops are your essentials. During the day, everything is laid back in informal. After sunset you might add a collared shirt for the men and something similar for the ladies. Your condo contains a state of the art washer/dryer set up, so you can pack less. Long story short, you will enjoy your stay on St Thomas, and having access to this excellent condo at Cowpet Bay will have you planning you next stay even before its time to return home. It truly is an EastEnd Eden.
