We were four couples, from the outskirts of NYC, who stumbled upon a serene oasis this past August 2014. Our hopes were to escape the hustle and bustle, of our active lives, for five days. What greeted us, at this extraordinary St. Croix destination, more than satisfied our every expectation.
Sea View Play. Enter the white gates, down the driveway, to a house that accommodated us superlatively. With four, nice sized bedrooms in the main house and a cozy cottage just around the way, privacy could be obtained if wished. Yet, most of the time was spent in the grand living room, back porch and tidal pool. The view, out the back, was something that took everyone's breath away at first sight. Sliding glass doors opened up to pure ecstasy. One phone call away and you could enjoy a massage, outside, with nothing but the sound of the waves crashing along the shore...just like we did!
The location of Sea View Play is outstanding. It is in close proximity to the airport, food mart and local restaurants. Speaking of restaurants..leave those fancy clothes at home! Tshirts, shorts and flip flops met the requirements of the casual dress code just famously. Restaurants such as Rowdy Joe's, Off the Wall, Carambola Bay, Angry Nate's and Above the Cliff were recommended to us. Delicious!
A fan of scuba diving? For a short drive away, one could see the likes of turtles, fluke, eel, rays, pufferfish, lion fish, seahorses and so much more. Thanks to our two scuba-certified friends, we went home with great footage of all of these incredible sea life creatures.
The motto of our trip was, "This doesn't suck"! Well, it most certainly didn't. We are already counting the days until our return to this hidden gem that is called...Sea View Play.
