Just Excellent Overall

5 of 5
I say overall because even though the house is as described (and then some), dealing with the owner(s) and son was flawless, and also because of the amount of helpful information and leads they provided, online and in person. Communication prior and during our stay was top notch! The house is darn near perfect for 2 couples, with full suites up and down. The layout and floor plan is very efficient, with a warm, super SOLID feel. Top notch materials and as mentioned in other reviews, incredible attention to details...check out the fit and clearance of the bathroom door/countertop! The construction, the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are all 5 star...but then it keeps going down to the silverware, plates, cookware, you name it. Then the extras: beach chairs, soft-side coolers, beach towels...even plenty of consumables like sun screen and insect repellent, it's there and available. Ziplock bags even! Who else provides those? Spices and sauces too. I keep trying to come up with an idea for improvement, but all I can suggest is some way to communicate between floors. The couple downstairs had no cell reception, and the house is so well soundproofed it was difficult to coordinate showers and plans (what a first-world "problem"!) The location was just right for us, more oriented to Coral Bay and the north beaches, but it meant we cooked our own evening meals rather than deal with the roads after dark - 1st week of January it got dark early. We usually count on more restaurant meals, but the well-equipped kitchen and the gas grill made it more treat than chore. We've always treated St. John as a day trip (or two) from St. Thomas in the past, but this trip has changed our itinerary for good. Thank you Tom, Lori, and Conner!
