Lion's Gate Cottage at Red Hook.

5 of 5
We spent about 10 days in the cottage in March of 2015. It is everything as described and as in the other favorable reviews that follow. We did not rent a car, we are used to climbing hills as we live in Duluth so the steep grade was not a burden and, twice, neighbors gave us a lift. Sympathetic for us, seeing us laden with cases of beer I suppose. We enjoyed days at the cottage, not leaving at all, reading and dining there on the deck. We found the beach at nearby secret harbor fine. Lunch not bad there either. Took the ferry to St. Johns, spent the days on beaches there. You can get around but taxi transportation is a bit hit and a miss. The village of Red Hook had everything we needed. The cottage was comfortable, well appointed and the views magnificent. We left the doors open wide, day and night. Sounds of revelry up from the village at night were the only intrusion but they were kept at bay by shutting the windows and running the AC or a fan. No problem. We would certainly go back and stay there again and would recommend it without hesitation. It is beautiful there.

Great location, amenities, and view!

5 of 5
My boyfriend and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at Blue Breezes. David offered us many more amenities than advertised and was always friendly and helpful! The space is exactly as pictured and the view from the patio was wonderful - morning and night. The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and as a result we felt comfortable leaving the doors and windows open to take advantage of the ocean breezes. Secret Harbour beach is a short walk away (albeit down a steeper hill) and offers gorgeous views of the sunset, 2 dining options (one casual, one more formal for dinner), and Aqua Action dive shop with kayak/SUP/snorkel/scuba rentals. We did not rent a car but were able to walk to Red Hook (about 15-20 minutes) daily for shopping, dining, and to catch the ferry to St. John and Tortola.
