The relaxing getaway we were looking for

                    5 of 5
My husband and I spent a week here and can't wait to plan our next visit! Starting your day with coffee on the porch with the most amazing views was easy to get used to. The apartment was well furnished, with everything we could possibly need. You won't find a better view in Red Hook. The walk down the hill to town wasn't too bad at all. You are so close to lots of restaurants, but I definitely recommend renting a car. We spent a lot of time at Sapphire beach, which was a 5 minute drive away and a relatively quiet beach. You have to book a sailing trip with Max, because it is hands down the best thing you can do on your visit. We spent our mornings and evenings on the porch taking in the views and enjoying the company of Eva, the resident pup. The bird watching from Lion's Gate is pretty good also. Anything we needed, Max helped us with right away. We are already anticipating our next visit, it is absolutely a slice of paradise at Lion's Gate, you won't be disappointed.

                    Beautiful place!

                    4 of 5
It was great! Clean, ample kitchen space, beautiful views. Perfect for those who plan on being busy during the day on the island and want a reliable place to crash. Probably want to rent a car if you are staying here since it is up a big hill but we stayed here for a wedding in secret harbor and it was perfect! Reasonably priced and just what we needed!
