Stunning ocean views and big pool

Our family of six had a very relaxing vacation at Manfred's house. His son, Matthew picked us up from the airport and he was very patient while we were waiting at the Avis counter. They didn't have our minivan and for the first day they gave us two cars which was very inconvenient. Matt brought us to a grocery store which was very helpful. The villa is away from it all...we didn't hear any voices for a whole week long. Only wind and waves, awesome. The views were spectacular. We didn't use the beach because it seemed a little scary for our kids, but we knew beforehand that it'll be rocky and we hadn't planned on taking a bath there anyway. There are so many wonderful beaches on the island. We took the barge to St. John twice because we loved the National Park there, the trails and the more secluded beaches. Our kids did the Junior Ranger Program at the visitor center and made the oath for their badge - fun! We hiked and visited Annaberg Sugar Mill which was so interesting. At the house we really appreciated the space, the beach towels, the lounge chairs, enough pots, pans, silverware etc. We even had some liquor and we made cocktails every night. The sky was amazing - so many stars. The only thing that should be improved are the sliding doors because they cannot be used right now. The climate on the island is super, around 81°F. We didn't have to use the AC at all because the breeze was so nice. We've visited several Caribbean islands so far but this was our favorite. Beautiful beaches, great hills & views and historic sites. Thanks so much to Manfred, Matthew & Margie (thanks for the coffee from Panama) for a wonderful time!

Without a doubt a fantastic holiday in a great villa with all the luxuries of home. Location wise was excellent for the snorkeling just in front of the villa - saw many fish, turtles and even a nurse shark. Short walk to sandy beaches. Also a good kick off spot for St. John. Villa is a few kilometers from the shops and some distance from town (this was a positive). Also dealing with the owner and his staff in St. Thomas could not have been better. Overall, good value for money and we would go back without question.
