This is my husband's and my 4th time to St. John and our friends' first time. Let me start w/the view! Not only do you get to watch the sunset setting behind St. Thomas across the way, you get to watch the boats coming in and out of Cruz Bay, making for wonderful pictures. The drive from Cruz Bay up Jacob's ladder is a short travel from the busy area of restaurants to your own peaceful stay. The home was perfect for 2 couples and the first villa for us to stay in any area of the Caribbean that allowed accessiblity to both bedrooms from inside. Each room was w/an en suite full bath and had full privacy (visual and audible) from the other rooms. The kitchen was fully supplied for those nights you want to cook and eat quietly on the deck. The grill was pretty new and well maintained.
A day on the beach was easy as beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler and towels were supplied. After happy hour at our favorite spots, it was always nice to come home to share the pool w/Iggy and his iguana family either on the pool deck or sunbathing in the trees w/in the well maintained landscaping.
The home was secured w/locked entrances, bracing for the sliding doors and a programmable safe.
Marilyn from Cimmaron, the management company, met us at the ferry dock, took us to our rental car and directed us to the villa, leaving only after a tour. She was nice enough to call on us twice to make sure we were enjoying our stay, answering any questions we had, etc. Linda, the owner even called to do the same. Unfortunately, we are early risers and were already on the beach when she called and left a message.
What a luxurious villa to stay in for a very affordable price compared to the other homes we searched. We will be back at our next visit of St John, our little paradise!
