Coral Bay TreeTop Paradise

5 of 5
Since my husband and I had planned on heading to St John we figured to look into something small, less is more we figured.. Wow .....those words less is more does not even begin to describe what was waiting for us at one of Annie's rental "The TreeTop".... Paradise from the time you wake to the magic of the sunrise mornings! Natures music singing to you..Roosters, tropical birds and goats welcoming you a new day..until you fall deeply asleep to the tropical breeze! I could go on and on..... It was beyond what we have ever experienced. We have traveled to many tropical islands over the years but I would have to give St Johns with their flare of fun (Skinny Legs, fun musical atmosphere, incredible burgers; Lucy's.. Sunday Morning Jazz & Brunch now that would be my Sunday weekends.. if I had to choose; Paul the bartender at the local bar at Aqua Bistro, real nice guy, makes great Tropical drinks! Morning breakfast at Pickles in Paradise.. might have wait for the traffic of the goats and donkeys:)... say hi to Mark! Crystal blue waters, sugar sand beaches, incredible snorkeling minutes from the beach..... Rejuvenating hikes, history... natures beauty hands down!! Must not forget the precious glue to your paradise Karren, your "property manager".. a real soul always there with a smile. Annie you have a perfect location in Coral Bay....thank you again for sharing your paradise with us..to begin every morning with gratitude, for our beautiful planet... we can not even begin to tell you how it has change our views on where and what we want to do in the the future... cant wait to return.. can we come back today? Much Peace and Thanks Dusty and Bill

Paradise on a budget!

4 of 5
My family (husband, 3 year old, myself) stayed very comfortably at the Starlit Escape. We chose this place for many reasons: the price, the location (we love Coral Bay), the separate bedroom, and the pool. We needed a separate place for our daughter to sleep for naps and bedtime and this place provided a bedroom with a door. Most places in this price range are studios, and a two-bedroom was out of our budget. The pool provided entertainment for the parents for the long hours of sleep that our daughter requires and for our daughter when she woke up. It was well-equipped and clean- having everything we needed, including some toys for our little lady. The wi-fi was well-tested and worked beautifully, even while streaming. The road is tough (though my daughter loved it), but hardly a reason to avoid this place. I have been to many places in the Caribbean, and the roads on St. John are, in general, perfect. The road for the Starlit Escape is much more typical in my experience. You are not at home, you are away! Just relax and enjoy how different it is to be in the Caribbean rather than home! One tip: we had a very long day of travel with a cranky toddler and had the good sense to take Jared's offer to stock the kitchen with provisions. This was money very well spent and it kept us from foraging away from the house after 15 hours of travel. Highly recommended.

The most beautiful place I've ever stayed

5 of 5
No photos can do justice to the beauty and grace and spaciousness of Moonglow, both inside and out. The view is extraordinary at every time of day and night, especially when the moon is up and reflecting off the bay. And the cottage is beautifully and thoughtfully furnished and decorated. Staying here was a real treat, and worth savoring. Make sure you allow yourself time to just sit on the front porch in the morning or evening and enjoy the view. Do, though, make sure to rent a high-clearance vehicle if you stay here. That view from high up? You get it by climbing a road that is paved only for the steepest parts and the switchbacks. We got used to it, and the view was worth it, but we had a Jeep and were glad we did.
