Our second stay in paradise!

5 of 5
This is the second time we have had the luxury of staying at Pura Vida. Our group included two couples and 3 young children. The layout of the house is perfect for two families since the master suites are on separate levels. The gorgeous kitchen was well equipped and easy to prepare all of our meals in. There was plenty of cookware, plates and utensils for our party of 7. The owners have thoughtfully provided tons of games, movies and books to enjoy while at the house. The home is tasefully decorated and extremely clean and well kept. The linens and mattresses are plush and very comfortable. No expense was spared in outfitting this home. It was noticed and appreciated!! Although laundry was not on the top of my favorite activities while on vacation, it was very nice to have access to the washer and dryer, especially with young children. In the laundry room we also found plenty of snorkeling equipment, coolers and beach chairs. It was nice not having to rent those items. Pura Vida is easy to find and only a short drive to Cruz Bay. We loved being close to the St John Market. (We found the prices to be more reasonable than at Starfish). It was easy to drive into town for happy hour and shopping. We loved letting the kids run around on the beach while we sipped painkillers from Joe's Rum Hut and Beach Bar. We went on a beautiful sunset sail on the Kekoa one night. Highly recommended! The all female crew was fun, friendly and informative. We would definitely recommend Pura Vida to any of our friends and family. The owners have been wonderful to work with. One of these trips we hope to check out their day spa!!

As Good As It Gets

5 of 5
The Grandview on St. John is a magical home base for snorkeling, sailing, lounging in the saltwater pool or just unwinding to the gentle breezes on the deck with a glass of wine as you soak in a beautiful sunset. It is here that the Grandview lives up to it’s name, a quiet neighborhood looking down on the twinkling harbor of sailboats with west facing island views all the way to St. Thomas - incredible. The home is well laid out with a spacious great room for gatherings, but private bedrooms on either side for optimal sleeping. Air conditioning and sleep number beds make for a peaceful nights recovery from the day’s activities. There is also a flat unpaved entry road away from traffic for morning exercise walks, a rarity on this hilly island. The Owners stopped by to make sure all was in order for our stay and even took us to dinner at one of their secret spots, the Water Front Bistro; delicious. The highlight of our trip was a visit with the staff of the archeological museum at Cinnamon Bay to learn about the rich history of the Taino Culture of the Caribbean. There are many magical adventures to be found on St. John, far too many for one visit, so we will definitely be back at the Grandview. And as a writer, I may just have discovered the location for my next award wining mystery novel…

Perfect Villa!

5 of 5
Just returned from a fantastic one-week stay at Villa St. John. The home was perfect for our group of ten (five couples). Every suite is equal in size with its own large, private bath and covered balcony. The views are beautiful from every vantage point! We also liked how close it is to shopping, restaurants, and groceries compared to other villas we've rented in the Carolina and Rendezvous areas. The villa manager Jared was wonderful...Always easy to reach and very accommodating. I'd definitely recommend Villa St. John.
