ABSOLUTE PARADISE!

5 of 5
We dream about our times at Stargazer all the time! We had visited three consecutive years, but it had been 15 years since our last stay... Now, with both children at ages where we knew they'd love it as much as we do, we returned to find this perfect getaway better than our memories served us! The home is spacious, clean and recent upgrades are obvious - bathrooms are beautiful - each room has its own private deck, and the views from every part of the home are a dream. The kitchen has everything (and more!) than you'd ever need. The whole visit is an adventure and we love every minute of it - whether it is snorkeling or diving from the boat or bone fishing on the flats or driving up the jungle road to the house, watching the sunset and stars from the top of the island (where the house so ideally sits)... If you like a little bit of adventure and want to do something a little different, this is the place for you! You can get away from it all at Stargazer... while having the comforts of home! A great asset of the location is the proximity of the (relatively) new development on Scrub Island. The Marriott-run resort has lots of amenities that we used - Dive BVI is an amazing dive shop. Since we dove on our own most of the time, they filled tanks for us twice a day and took us on some wonderful dives (that were a little too far for us to take the boat to!)... we used the market almost daily to pick up supplies, deli meats, and basic things, and we ate at the restaurant a few times (which was very good). 15 years ago, Scrub wasn't developed. Now, you've got Marina Cay and Scrub for resources. We couldn't recommend this property more - we adore it and can't wait to return next year!

EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS FOR THE SEASONED TRAVELER

5 of 5
A Dream Come True is a well fitting name to describe the trip I took for my 50th birthday celebration. The villas owner, Germaine, let us know from the initial contact that she was willing and eager to help us make this trip a memorable and smooth one for our large group of family and friends. After our short ride from the ferry station to our villa, we were met by the courteous and helpful Geno in the Maho Bay office, literally steps away from the entrance to our villa. When we opened the gate and stepped in, we all gasped at how beautiful the villa, pool and views were... The rooms were clean, spacious and each had a great view. It didn't take the adults long to pick our rooms because all the views from the bedrooms are fabulous! The location near sapphire and pond bay was very nice and their were no crowds- it was like having our own succluded island. In the late afternoon, a few beautiful boats and yachts would park in the cove and made our picturesque view even prettier. The kitchen was well stocked with top of the line knives and lots of glassware and plates to accomate our big crew. The pool is not huge but all you really need to float around in after a fun day at the nearby Baths or eating in the great nearby restaurants. The kayaks that come with the property gave our college age kids the perfect vehicle to take off on snorkel adventures within our view. The best part was that although we had 13 in our group, we all felt like we had plenty of room for privacy. We read lots of books off the shelves, took naps in the sun or shade by the pool and swam in the warm water. What I liked the least was that we weren't smart enough to book puck, the chef who made our delicious welcome dinner, more than one other time. What a character and fantastic chef. His concoctions and fusions of the food he prepared made the kids and adults alike very happy. I highly recommend you work on making this your DREAM COME TRUE.

SERENDIPITY: PERFECT MIX OF ADVENTURE, FREEDOM AND RELAXATION

5 of 5
Our trip to Serendipity far exceeded our expectations. The house, perched on top of a mountain with 360 degree views, has a beautiful open-air floor plan. Cool islands breezes quickly wash away our cares as we stared out over the surrounding islands or at the beautiful nighttime sky. The house is conveniently located on Great Camanoe, and situated in close proximity to many of the great British Virgin Islands with most all of them in site from the house. The house has a fabulous vibe. It seems to me that there have been many happy, wonderful memories made at Serendipity by its owners and by the lucky guests like us who have been blessed to stay there. Travel on Great Camanoe and between Great Camanoe and the other islands was one of our biggest concerns – and I am sure yours as you read this review. Here is a quick overview: 1)Best way to get to the area is to fly into Beef Island, Tortola airport. 2)When you arrive at Beef Island Airport you can walk to the dock, Trellis Bay, from the airport. It is only about 5 minutes away and easily done if you don’t have too many bags. Trellis Bay is 2 miles from the house and an easy 10 minute ride in the boat. 3)Alvin, the homes caretaker was waiting for us in the boat at the dock to take us to the house. He was very helpful with local tidbits, acquainting us with the boat, the island and the house. 4)The house comes with two golf carts for transport from the marina to the house and back. 5)The boat, Scargo III, will be your main source of transportation – to the beaches, to see other islands, to dinner, etc. I must say, this 18 ft boat was great, stable and well maintained. 6)Meals are accessible on Scrub Island and Marina Cay are really close and accessible at night. Between the moored boats, a high-powered flashlight and cautious driving this is easily navigated. Honestly, this was our biggest concern. We did not want to eat in every night; after all it is vacation. With the boat we were able to visit Jost Van Dyke, The Baths on Virgin Gorda, Cane Garden Bay on Tortola, and Long Bay on Tortola. Everyone in our group agreed this trip went down as one of the best vacations ever. It was also a big hit with our 10-year old who enjoyed the boat rides and driving the golf cart to and from the house. I think staying at Serendipity affords you with the perfect mix of adventure, freedom and relaxation with a feeling that you are at home. Well, at least you can pretend its home until its time to leave.
