This house has obviously been restored with love and care. It is welcoming, airy, light and colourful.
I agree completely with the other reviewers - within hours one is at home and absorbed in the foliage, the colours and the light. I have visited several times, and always sleep deeply and well in the cool breezes which you can direct through the house using the louvres on the windows. No glazing, no aircon!
Everything you need is there, in its place: the kitchen is very well equipped, and cooking for a family is easy. You can have provisions and drink delivered, but it's not absolutely necessary, as there is a convenience shop below in Cane Garden Bay, and the large supermarket in Road Town is only 15 minutes drive.
Cane Garden is a very lively resort, with numerous bars and eating places. There is frequently live music on the beach or on boats - but this does not disturb you at Four Winds, as you are so high above it.
I should also mention the other bay below the house, Brewer's Bay, which is undeveloped and perfect for snorkeling or sunbathing away from the crowds - it also has a simple bar for when you need a cool drink. The energetic could walk down and back up, but the return climb is very steep in parts. Your reward is the expansive views to Jost van Dyke, St Thomas and the small islands in the channel.
