A most romantic, secluded hideaway

5 of 5
This house has obviously been restored with love and care. It is welcoming, airy, light and colourful. I agree completely with the other reviewers - within hours one is at home and absorbed in the foliage, the colours and the light. I have visited several times, and always sleep deeply and well in the cool breezes which you can direct through the house using the louvres on the windows. No glazing, no aircon! Everything you need is there, in its place: the kitchen is very well equipped, and cooking for a family is easy. You can have provisions and drink delivered, but it's not absolutely necessary, as there is a convenience shop below in Cane Garden Bay, and the large supermarket in Road Town is only 15 minutes drive. Cane Garden is a very lively resort, with numerous bars and eating places. There is frequently live music on the beach or on boats - but this does not disturb you at Four Winds, as you are so high above it. I should also mention the other bay below the house, Brewer's Bay, which is undeveloped and perfect for snorkeling or sunbathing away from the crowds - it also has a simple bar for when you need a cool drink. The energetic could walk down and back up, but the return climb is very steep in parts. Your reward is the expansive views to Jost van Dyke, St Thomas and the small islands in the channel.

Stunning location, exceptional vacation for friends and family

5 of 5
Spectacular setting and beautiful, spacious home in Tortola's West End - easy to access 45 min. ferry from St. Thomas, but secluded from the busy main port of Roadtown. The friendly property manager met us at the ferry with our rental car(s) and lead us to the house to make sure we were settled in. The West End is filled with luxury villas, lovely restaurants and secluded beaches. We stayed for the week of Thanksgiving with our 3 teenage/young adult sons - all who had a memorable experience. This location is perfect for those who like to avoid the "all-inclusive resort" type vacation, and seek to experience the authentic beauty and flavor of the BVI while still feeling pampered and enjoying a luxury vacation. This beautifully appointed home served as the perfect base from which we explored the island. The house was filled with fresh flowers from the gorgeous and abundant gardens that surround the house and the sparkling pool is also lighted at night for after-dinner dips. Furnishings are fine quality, the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and beautiful tabletop items. We spent one amazing afternoon snorkeling in the hidden-away Brewer's Bay (rent snorkel gear at Blue Water Divers at either Nanny Cay or Sopers Hole). The beach was deserted, and the fish abundant. On another day we zipped through the tree-tops over Roadtown with the Original Virgin Canopy Tour - a fantastic operation run by seasoned pros. Half the adventure is just getting to their base of operations high above Sir Francis Drake channel. Another fantastic day was spent sailing to Virgin Gorda Baths and snorkeling around the sunken Rhone ship with Aristocat Charters (out of either Sopers Hole or Roadtown). But the best part of the trip was lingering around the gorgeous pool at the Villa, enjoying the spectacular sunrise and sunsets from the generous balconies, and appreciating the incredible level of detail that went into the house. You'll find everything you need and more - nothing has been overlooked. Groceries can be bought at the convenience store near the house, or at one of the larger supermarkets on the island. You'll need a 4-wheel drive vehicle for the many hills on the island, but it's all part of the adventure. Thanksgiving dinner at The Sugar Mill on the north side was beautiful and historic; a perfect setting. Everyoneone was warm, inviting, friendly and helpful - can't overstate the quality of this experience; we'll be back!

Amazing view!

5 of 5
The Villa Oasis is a beautiful 3 BR, 3.5 bath home truly in an amazing location. It is private, quiet, comfortable, well appointed and the view from the patio cannot be beat. We've traveled many places and this remains our favorite ambiance of all. It is also a fun island adventure to travel by boat to and from Great Camanoe and the boat is available for excursions such as snorkeling, shopping and dinner any time. A short walk to the beach for immediate snorkeling right in front of the home or a longer walk takes you to other snorkeling spots. The owners take great pride in their home and since they live there at times, they ensure it is well kept, comfortable and has the basics already provided. You will love it. We did!
