Perfect!

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed in the barn in October and couldn't have been happier. It is beautiful and tastefully decorated and clean and crisp. We had a hard time deciding on which couch to sit in the living room because the views from each were gorgeous and different. We stayed for over a week and ventured all over Vermont, but there's so much to do the area also. We loved dinner at Kedron Valley Inn, breakfast at the South Woodstock Country Store, and walks on the hilly roads around the barn, and were fortunate to catch the South Woodstock fire department's fall pancake breakfast. We will whole heartedly return to Kingsley Barn!

Beautiful Christmas Experience

5 of 5
What a great place for our family of seven adults to spend the week of Christmas! The house was beautiful and so comfortable and all ready for us on arrival. We especially wanted to be able to cook together and the large, well-stocked kitchen was the heart of the home during our visit. We also enjoyed the games, books and puzzles available for our use. Radiant heated floors, a good heating system and a fireplace with plenty of wood kept the house cozy and warm. The house was at the top of a hill and felt totally private – but just minutes to town. We were welcomed by pristine snow and enjoyed sledding on the hill out back and making a snowman. Exploring the beautiful village of Woodstock and the surrounding area was lots of fun - Vermont at Christmas is picture-postcard perfect. Skied 3 days at Killington – 30 minutes away. Got reasonably-priced massages at the Mountain Green Resort in Killington and recommend spending the extra $11 to enjoy pool and saunas all day. We were early in the season, so tubing, snowmobiling and sleigh rides were not available. Recommend visit to Billings Farm and sites in Bridgewater – Long Trail Brewery, Shackleton Thomas custom furniture manufacturing and funky corner antique shop. Recommend this family vacation!
