Loved "our" apartment and Woodstock

5 of 5
This was the perfect place to stay on our recent trip to Vermont. We were there for a family wedding and all the functions were within an easy drive of Woodstock. The apartment is much bigger than it appears in the photos and has everything you need, spotless and well maintained. Fresh flowers from Sherry's lovely garden on the counter when we checked in which was such a nice welcome. Fluffy towels, full size washer and dryer, completely equipped kitchen including a Kerig coffee maker and coffee. There are 2 grocery stores in Woodstock. The Woodstock Farmers Market is worth checking out, especially for things like local cheeses and organic goods, but we found it quite expensive. There is a regular grocery on the other side of town for basics. The apartment has walk in closets so you can hang everything up and put your suitcases out of sight. Bob and Sherry are great hosts, answering any questions, knowledgeable about the area, etc. I can't think of a thing they could do to make this any better. It was a perfect time of year to visit. Woodstock is such a pretty and historical town, flowers were blooming everywhere, picture perfect when we visited. Spent plenty of time just walking around town and then driving a bit into the countryside to check out a couple of the General Stores in the area. (great places for lunch). Be sure to visit the Woodstock library. We even attended a free piano recital there - Sherry is the piano instructor, so it felt like we were locals. It is true that you can walk in to town, but it took me about 10 min and the walk back is up hill, so we drove. So much to see and do in the area, or only regret was that we didn't have more time. We enjoyed breakfast at The Mountain Creamery and dinner at The Prince and Pauper in town. Beware of cell phone coverage. We have Sprint and no reception anywhere in town. Our cousin has AT&T and she did. With the wifi in the apartment and in Woodstock we could communicate using email so it worked out. Both my husband and I would highly recommend renting this apartment and vacationing in Woodstock. Thank you Bob and Sherry, we hope to come again!

wonderful vacation

5 of 5
This secluded hideaway is private and yet close to the many area attractions. Jon and Tamara and extended family are wonderful hosts and take care of your every need. We received a warm welcome and a fridge full of goodies - cheese, crackers, juice, cream and coffee. The blueberry muffins were a delight and I already miss them. There were also condiments and spices in the cupboard. There is every kitchen tool you could possibly need and more as well as a lovely full set of dishes. The cottage is compact but adequate and the fireplace was perfect for chilly mornings. We were grateful for the A/C on what proved to be an unseasonable hot spell our first week. Woodstock and area is chock full of interesting activities to suit every taste. Don't miss Montshire Museum - it is a MUST! Kudos- thanks to you we had one of our best vacations ever.

Charming, comfortable home in a great location!

We spent a wonderful week in this cozy cottage in Woodstock. We took walks every day in the lovely town and went on several day trips. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable and had nice linens. The coffee maker was not working and after I called the property manager to let her know, she brought a new one to the house that evening so that we would be able to enjoy coffee on the deck the next morning! She was also provided us with contacts prior to our vacation for services that we would need while on vacation. Great Service! Great house!
