Clean cozy and great location

4 of 5
We had a great time at this peaceful VT Chalet. The description and pictures were accurate and the property was immaculately cleaned. We skied at Stratton and were blessed with 8 inches of fresh powder. The house is located on a non functioning ski hill that one of our party hiked up and got fresh tracks the afternoon we arrived. The house is also close to Bromely and Magic. Eileen is great with communication and let me know exactly what to expect when we got there. She recommended four/all wheel drive and had we not listened we may have been in trouble. I would almost say that all wheel drive is required if it snows. We cooked both nights in the fully equipped kitchen. The only down side of the property is that Eileen asked us not to use the fireplace. We knew this going in but more than once each night there were comments on how nice it would be to have a fire. Overall great stay and I would book again!

Home away from home

5 of 5
We have rented this home 4 times now, throughout all of the seasons, and we just keep coming back. It is just the right size for a cozy, comfortable feeling. It's obvious how much the owners care for this home; it is very well maintained. We have a hard time even leaving the house to explore...it's just so comfortable!

Fantastic Winter Rental!

5 of 5
Several friends and I got together to rent this house for the 2011/2012 ski season. Located about 25 minutes from Stratton, 20 minutes from Bromley, and an hour from Killington, it provided a convenient mid-point for the different mountains we wanted to go to. It is an adorable home with everything that we needed. Some things we particularly liked were: • Large dining room table & church pews - great for group dinners and games • Stocked Kitchen - enough pots and pans to cook for a large group of people • Propane Grill - grilled steak and veggies for dinner in the middle of winter? Sure! • Sauna - definitely helped some sore muscles • Firewood provided - loved that we didn't have to get this ourselves, as we used the fireplace every night we stayed there • Linens provided - there was never a shortage of towels, sheets, blankets, bedding and pillows • Washer/Dryer - we never needed to haul home dirty or damp ski clothing. • Internet/utilities/plowing/trash removal included - as a group of renters, it was fantastic that we had no "hidden costs" and all costs were settled up front Throughout the season, we looked forward to escaping NYC on the weekends (sometimes mid-week, for the lucky ones) and coming up to this cozy and comfortable retreat. Plus, with a group of friends, it's definitely one of the most affordable properties in the area!
