Thanksgiving weekend 2014

5 of 5
First at all,I would like to thank the owner, Andrea, for her availability. For my family and me, this was our FIRST TIME EVER to rent a house to spend a few days away, so we were a little nervous about the entire process, but Andrea made it very easy. Thanks! I have two teenagers and a 4 yers old gir. The requirement for the boys was that the house had to have a pool table, so that was my priority. The location of the house came second, but in the end was great because it was about 20 min from Snow Mountain, and we the unexpected snow storm that came one day before Thanksgiving, we had the unique expirience to go skiing with perfect conditions at Snow Mountain and close to "home". In overall, the house was great because everything was working, clean, and very well taken care of. The night before we left, I used the hot tub with a snow blanquet around it! We had a fantastic time in the Chimney Hill Log Cabin!

Top Cabin overlooking the lake

4 of 5
My husband and I had a wonderful week at this little cabin to take in the Fall colors. The cabin itself, whilst not the Hilton, was everything we wanted. It was clean, safe and cosy and had a well stock kitchen (including lovely wine glasses - a must for me). We had some issues with the wifi, however the owners, were more than helpful in getting it up and going and very accommodating in every aspect. The town of Wilmington is absolutely charming and the surrounding areas lovely. We enjoyed walking down to the lake to take in the colors. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property.

Best value for you money!!

5 of 5
My husband and I needed time to relax and enjoy nature for a couple of days. My husband searched many websites (I am glad he did!) and could not find a better value for the price! Our stay at Brook Lane exceeded all of our expectations. The booking process was straight forward, all fees clearly explained and formal lease agreement was provided. The owners are extremely helpful and available any time you need them during your stay. The chalet…warm, cozy, spacious, what a relaxing place!!!...equipped with everything you can possibly need if choosing to stay indoors…TV, movies, books, free Internet access, free phone access, washer, dryer, blankets, ironing board, iron…I know…who needs it…but I did use it! The kitchen has more utensils that I could ever use…everything is labeled, so no guessing to find what you need...plenty of pans, pots and silverware, oven-toaster (I used it to warm up bread every morning), oven, kettle, cups, plates, cereal bowls for a family of 20…and on top of everything lovely decoration and great views from all around the chalet! Close to a shopping center (supermarket, pharmacy and video store)…truly home away from home!! Coming back this fall…cannot compare to any other rental home or hotel in the area…price, amenities and location just call for great value!!
