Great family vacation!

4 of 5
We had an awesome stay at this very family friendly house in Mt. Snow. We were throwing a "surprise party" for my Dad's 70th birthday and the owner Jack was more than helpful to make sure my Dad was shocked. The house is very unique and you can see it has been built with love by the owner over many years. The best way I can describe staying here is as "going to camp"... there are a ton of bedrooms with small bathrooms and we opted for the cheaper option to "bring our own linens". The layout is very unique and hard to describe - most of the bedrooms are on the lower level which also has the pool. There is one on the "main level" aka middle floor that is near a pool table and living area so exposed to the most noise. The two quietest bedrooms are on the top floor aka attic and they each are good sized with bathrooms. All the beds and furnishings in this house are old. It is what it is... we had kids and dogs and this house met our needs just fine. The kitchen is huge and we LOVED the giant dinging table that allowed the entire family to enjoy meals together and play board games. There is a bar in the main floor living area that was a fun lounge spot for "the men" and in the lower level entry way there is ping pong tables that we played with a bunch. The "gym" is freezing in the winter and the equipment is VERY old so don't count on a great workout there - save your energy for the slopes which as SO close by - just a 5 min drive door to door. The sauna was a huge hit - you must keep the fire burning yourself (thanks to my husband for keeping that going). One other thing to know before you go - the house is heated with coal stoves that require attention and effort. Its old school heating but it works! The "hot tub" is made for two people and you have to "turn the dial" on the timer repeatedly to get it to warm up (took a full day of going down to the hot tub and cranking it up every hour to get it warm enough to use) If you are looking for a big family weekend - or a crash pad for a big group of skiers - this house is great. I think it was a little pricy for what its worth - but we paid it and didn't feel ripped off. One thing to mention (and be thankful for)... a huge snow storm came while we were there (super bowl weekend) and we got "stuck" and the owner was very gracious and gave us a very fair rate to stay an additional night. Thanks Jack!

Nice and clean house perfect for a ski trip!

5 of 5
The place was great and perfectly as described! Overall, the place was very large, extremely close to mountain, and really clean. It had all the basic amenities and booking was easy and convenient. Everything worked as expected. For reference, I stayed there MLK weekend with a group of 14 and we fit comfortably. If you brought an air mattress, you could fit an extra person or have people spread out more (if they are picky). Great place! -Kyle

What a Vermont Ski House Should Be

5 of 5
We spent the weekend up there with a few other couples and we all loved our time at the house. Its very close to the Mount Snow, but you feel like no one is around you for miles. Its clean, very open, and theres plenty of room. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. In fact, I plan on it.
