Lovely ski rental home exceeded all expectations

5 of 5
We spent 3 nights in this cozy, spacious, and beautifully secluded ski home. The pictures in the listing are very nice but I would say they do not do the house justice. Everything about the house was perfect for us! It is beautifully situated on the high plateau of the otherwise hilly property. The many windows/sliders offered fantastic views of the Southern Vermont mountains. Our party of 11 was very comfortably accomodated by the 3 bedrooms + 4 bunks. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary items and, then some, to cook great meals. The family room offered a nice flat screen TV and the potbelly stove kept us very warm. Our favorite feature of the house was the game room, which allowed the kids to entertain themselves while the adults did the same in relative peace in the upstairs family room. Wardsboro, VT is a small but quait village which features a great general store just minutes from the house. If more was needed, other options were a short drive from the house. Ken, the property owner, was more than gracious! He was very attentive to all of our needs, including providing nearby dining suggestions and even quickly sending a repairman out to replace the front door lockset. One word of advice: during winter months, be sure you have a 4WD vehicle. Even though the driveway is frequently plowed, it is very difficult to climb without 4WD. In short, I could not give this property a higher recommendation and most certainly plan to return.

Big, cozy country house

5 of 5
We rented this house to ski on Mount Snow. There is a ton of space and the house has a very cozy rustic feel. It is warm, comfortably appointed, and everything works great (including wifi). My favorite part was the living room with a large wood burning fireplace (stocked with wood to burn). You couldn't ask for a better place to relax with friends after a long day of skiing. There are sleds and snowshoes by the entrance too! My only criticism would be the lack of cell reception, but we just connected to the wifi and used internet phone. The owner was very quick, professional, and courteous when doing business. Overall we were very happy to stay here and it was the highlight of our trip.

Great Ski Rental for the Whole Family

5 of 5
My whole family, 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs, spent a great President's week skiing and playing in the snow. This is truly a great rental with plenty of room for an additional family. A big yard for my kids and dogs to play in and only 5 minutes to Mt. Snow. The town has some great restaurants, slay riding, snow tubing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling available. What more could you want? We are booking for next year. Cant wait! The Conlons Long Island, N.Y.
