Amazing setting and house is just as described.

5 of 5
My mother passed away recently, and our family gathered in Waitsfield to honor her memory. This house had room and beds enough to sleep 10 of us from several households comfortably, and we had more than 25 plus at the chalet in all for our gatherings. The setting is just beautiful and the huge living room windows give the living area a very open feel . We so enjoyed the million dollar view of the beautiful mountains whether we were inside or out. The kitchen is well equipped and we really enjoyed getting together around the fireplace in the evenings. Gregg was great to work with - he provided all the information we needed and was immediately available when we had a couple of minor issues come up, all of which were resolved in short order. We will hope to come back again and to spend another great time amongst the mountains - thank you Gregg.

Amazing wooden house and very accommodating owners

5 of 5
The property is located in Waitsfield and past the covered bridge, it is close to both Mad River Glen and Sugarbush ski resorts. It is near the center of lovely town Waitsfield. The house is spacious, with one bedroom on the second floor, one loft bedroom, it also has a second floor study which is converted to a bedroom. The first floor has a beautiful and functional kitchen and living room which also have a sleeping sofa. The entire house has pine wood wide stripped floor and house is super clean. The house also has a mud room and foyer where colorful ski helmets are displayed. The bathroom has long-running hot water for several showers after skiing and snowboarding. The house is sitting on a beautiful lots with horse barn. The rusty setting makes us feel very relaxed and welcomed, the surrounding is very quiet and we had several good nights' sleep which energized us for skiing and snowboarding. We cooked our breakfast and dinner in the house. The owners are extremely accommodating and friendly, we only see them briefly, but we immediately feel at home after talking to them. I accidentally forget my stuff when I checked out, the owners sent the item to me via FedEx upon receiving my call, I am very grateful. They also left many cooking ingredients there, such as salt, oil, grounded coffee, etc. , not to mention all the pots, cutting boards, etc. Overall we were nicely surprised how beautiful and clean the house is inside and out. The owners and the house made us feel very comfortable. We don't feel like we were having business transaction with them (like when we stayed at a hotel/motel) but rather we feel like we were running into longtime not seen friends. We hope we can stay in this house next time we are back. This is reviewed by Helena

Nice large house! Perfect location for skiing. Large windows facing the woods, good ole house with Vermont charm.
