Fantastic Guest House

5 of 5
I can't say enough about this wonderful guest house and it's owners. This was the first vacation my husband and I have taken without our children. Our youngest was going to camp at Camp Betsey Cox in Pittsford and being from Florida, it was too far for us to drop her off and return two weeks later. We didn't know where we were going to stay for two weeks, but found this wonderful guest house through iTravex. It's centrally located in Vermont, just outside Waitsfield, near two ski resorts. We were able to explore the entire state and Quebec on numerous hikes during our two week stay. Now we are in love with Vermont! There are plenty of great hiking trails nearby, including the celebrated Long Trail. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. The Rennai tankless water heater means you don't run out of hot water when you are last in the shower. The guest house is clean, peaceful, with ample room for more people, and yet cozy for two. We stayed in the upstairs bedroom with the queen bed which was very comfortable. Most of our stay we did not need A/C, but the few nights we did, it cooled the house off very quickly. It has an upstairs kitchen with a lovely view of the mountains with everything you could possibly need to fix meals at home. There are two grocery stores in Waitsfield and there was a great farmer's market one of the days we were there. Ask Harvey which day because he absolutely knows everything about the area or will find it out for you. I can't imagine a better place, or a better host, for vacationing in Vermont. We look forward to coming back.

Beautiful House

5 of 5
Beautiful house, ideal location on dead end dirt road. Quiet, friendly neighbors. Kitchen fully stocked and functional. House was clean and kept in excellent condition. Owner was easy to deal with, friendly and accommodating. I would recommend..

Cozy Home in the Vermont Hills!

5 of 5
My friends and I (a total of 11) stayed at this property for 3 nights/4 days. We had a great time and loved everything about our mini-vacation! When we arrived, the house was very clean and inviting. The property manager was also flexible on our arrival time and even had the cleaning service come a few hours earlier so we could access the house right away. Access to Sugarbush ski resort was easy and only a 10 minute ride to the main parking lot (less to Mt. Ellen but due to conditions we did not ski there). As for the house itself, we were 5 couples and 1 single person. 4 of the couples slept in actual beds, 1 couple slept in two twin beds and the single person had to sleep on an air mattress (or the sofa if he chose). I would say that this house sleeps 10 comfortably but if you are okay with air mattresses then it can sleep 12. If you are considering staying here, I would get more specifics on what you can use in the kitchen and what you cannot use. They keep this place stocked and half of the things we brought (crock pot, blender, etc.) we didn't need. The house itself is lived in full-time so it has a very cozy vibe. Because of weather conditions, our group skied a half day on Sunday before departures. Don was kind enough to extend our check out time as well. All in all, this was a great house for our annual ski trip and I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Don!
