Great Stay in Family Oriented Home

5 of 5
For families looking for a fun oriented alternative to a cookie cutter resort, you should look into this wonderful home. During our stay, we had our family and a friends' family share the home. There was plenty of space (4 bedrooms, plus a neat bunk style room for 2 kids). Easily could sleep 10. Sugarbush ski area is a mere 10 mins away. This is an owner occupied home, so do not expect this home to be brand new (i.e., sterile), but take comfort that the home was clean and well kept. One of the best aspects of the home is the care taken by the owner to make the stay a good one. She walked us through the home upon arrival, pointed out the systems (like heating and entertainment) and made herself available when needed. One of the best aspects is that the home is so well suited for children; toys, movies, kids books galore. One caveat is that owners do have a beautiful cat that stays in the home during one's stay. We had some trepidation about this as one of our party is allergic to cats. However, the cat stayed mostly to herself in the basement and caused no issues. No allergic reactions in our case, but do be forewarned.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous made-for-Architectural Digest home in the wooded hills of the spectacular Mad River Valley. Could not have asked for a better experience. To all future renters --- be kind to it because this one is a gem.
