Ginger House!

4 of 5
The Ginger House is a great place for a summer weekend, amidst a canopy of trees, perfect for providing a cool stay. Its proximity to both Waterbury and Stowe makes it convenient for restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities. The owner is quite accommodating and really wants the renter to enjoy their stay. We would love to return and see the Ginger House in the winter season!

The perfect get-away cottage

5 of 5
We reluctantly left Stowe almost two weeks ago. It is difficult to drive away from your favorite ski area with over two feet of fresh powder on the slopes. Leaving the skiing behind was, however, easier than leaving Virginia's beautiful Steeple Cottage. The wonderful reviews that have preceded ours give an accurate glimpse of the pure comfort and sense of style that we enjoyed throughout our stay. Every aspect of the cottage seemed like what we so often wish for but rarely find in a vacation home. Steeple Cottage, with it's great kitchen and lovely dining room with a view, was the perfect place to entertain our New England friends. They all enjoyed it thoroughly and complimented us on our good taste and clever choice of vacation spots. We happily accepted all compliments while feeling that we were actually just very lucky to have found such a unique cottage. We passed along the compliments to Virginia for she truly created every detail of the cottage. It is a work of art.

Pictures don't do it justice!!!

5 of 5
We stayed at this beautiful little cottage over Feb. break. 2 Adults, 3 Kids, and 1 dog. The cottage was beautiful and no detail was left undone. There was even fresh flowers welcoming us and dog dishes for our pup. It has a very upscale country/cottage feel to it. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and responsive to any questions we had. This place seems like someone's home vs. a property purchased to generate revenue. The grounds surrounding the cottage were beautiful! It really is a beautiful place! Everything was as described in the listing. We were plenty warm and the beds were very comfortable. Those of you with back problems won't be disappointed with the beds. There was a TV with a DVD player and plenty of movies to watch. Many of them were brand new and did not even have the seal broken on them. Please note that there is no cable or regular TV. Also, there are many brand new board games to play. This was great and we did not miss the TV at all. If you plan on skiing while you are there the drive is 20 minutes to the mountain. Also, I do recommend that you make your dinner reservations well before your arrival. Many of the restaurants fill up very fast especially during holiday times. The only "knock" have on this place is the lack of Wifi. We knew there was no Wifi when we booked, but I didn't know how dependent I was on it. Given that this place is out of the way, it would have been nice to google different restaurants, stores for shopping, side trips, and the weather. My 3G did not work on my phone, but my husbands 4G did work. We would definitely come back! I would love to see this place in the summer and/or the fall. Overall- great experience!
