Just got home from a perfect long weekend in the cottage. Everything was clean and in working condition. The pictures don't do it justince. The location is great for either an active stay, or just kicking back to relax. Enjoyed the outdoor activities close to the Lake as well as the great food and beer. Definitely planning on coming again for hopefully a longer stay. Recommend the hike to the fire tower as well as the mountain biking opportunities that abound in and around Stowe. Kathy and Steve are a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a great time in Vermont.

We have spent the last three summers at this charming cottage on Lake Eden. Each year we think we'd like to explore a new place, but then always come back here because you just can't beat perfect! This is an adorable cottage directly on a picturesque lake. The house is always very clean upon our arrival and stocked with all the essentials. The owner take impeccable care of the property and is just a phone call away should you need anything. The setting is private and the lake is perfect for all your outdoor activities from swimming, fishing and kayaking. My favorite part is going for a sunrise paddle slicing through the morning mist. There's plenty of wildlife to observe - from resident Loons to Great Blue Herons to a variety of Ducks. And if you're lucky you might see a bear! The cottage is perfectly tucked away from any tourist crowds, but it's an easy ride into Stowe for shopping and yummy local treats!

We expected vacations out of the urban rythm for our 2 childs (4,5 and 2 years old) and us: it was simply perfect. It was a journey in the deep green Vermont, with gentle mountains surroundings, amoung farm animals... in a cosy little corrage, comfortable, neat, and nice. Carol was wonderful, patient and comprenhensive with children, instead of the difference of language (we are French speaking). We were awaken by the rooster; beakfast and meals were taken on the rear deck, in the middle of the prairie, with goats and chicken not very far... Perfect spot for "urban sicks" like us; for sure, we will go back again (our daughter asks already for it!) The cottage is exactly as discribed; a perfect place for country vacations. The closest little town is Morrisville, but we prefered Stowe, 10 miles away from the cottage: very pleasant town, patrimonial buildings, stoll paths, typical shops -espacially local products. Too many things to tell here. Just experience by yourselves!
